Does it make any difference what goes where in regards of performance? Currently boots on the dvi monitor, which is fine. Main monitor in registered as number two in Windows, gsync works well, 144hz no problem. Might just leave it be?

Last one - hdmi out is connected to my home theater receiver for viewing stuff on the projector. Slightly annoying that every time the receiver powers on or off, it disrupts the computer’s sleep mode. Any way to avoid this?

Port order initialization is generally older interface to newer...Ie  VGA >>> DVI >>> HDMI >>> DP. I'm not sure there's a way to disable the HDMI port from detecting the signal from your receiver, after all, that's kinda the way it is supposed to work so that it is detected automatically whether you power on a device or insert a cable, detection is automatic. There's no way to change that port behavior on the GPU they are not HDMI-CEC enabled.

After looking this again, this is for RTX cards.  It's simialr for GTX, but I'll look again for the thread that pertains to GTX cards.
