So doing some digging and research I am assuming the GTX1070 is the sweet spot in price/ppd/power consumption?  Would this be a correct assessment?  I am considering dumping the three GTX960's I have, a vanilla GTX Titan, and my older GTX690 and replace it with something that fits the bill that is affordable but not lose my PPD.  I already have a GTX Titan X Pascal that does a smooth 880K+.  Keep in mind I refuse to overclock during summer as my new mancave/office barely stays a few degree's cooler than outside as the garage below is not insulated yet so all the exterior heat rises to my office space.

Yes. The 1070 is currently in the sweet spot.
Look out for some deals though. Evga had 980Ti going for 200 earlier in the week.

1080ti has the best power/PPD ratio but not the best $$$/PPD ratio. so if you have enough to afford the 1080ti its currently the best but second best is the 1070 for sure.

    I run the hybrid 1070, but I have a 1060, 1070, and 1080s and the sweet spot price / performance /power is the 1070.
My friend I work with installed 2 in a custom build.

Chris is quite correct if you take out the price atm. rs

At the system level, the 1070 and 1080 are pretty much a tossup, with the 1080 ti running very very close 3'd.

Any of the 3 would be a good option, depending on power available and ability to keep them cool.
