Welcome to the EVGA Forums Ramok

The answer your asking about can be found here

    GTX 970 and SLI functionality.

    https://www.evga.com/supp...ewfaq.aspx?faqid=59534

There are three versions of the GTX 970:
    1. A blower-style cooler with a short circuit board,
    2. An ACX cooler with a full size circuit board,
    3. An updated version of the GTX 970, SSC, and FTW models.

The three styles of GTX 970s will not function in SLI together.
See the chart below to see which cards will function together in SLI.
Cards in the same group will function in SLI together.
A card from one group will not work in SLI with a card from another column.

Looks like these ACX style cards will work in SLI with your card, use the tool in the link above

You can use the OuterVision PSU Calculator (best/more detailed) or the EVGA Power Meter as stated above by Cool GTX to estimate your system wattage need and see a recommended PSU..If you use the EVGA Power Meter, you'll get a 10% off discount code (with restrictions/conditions) in your email just for using it..Make sure the PSU has the needed number of 6/8/6+2 pin PCIe power connectors for your cards.

After rereading this thread, I think I found your hardware ?

I used the EVGA tool and input these options:

    2way SLI - EVGA GTX 970
    Z270 chipset MB
    i5-6700 CPU -- Overclocked
    2 - SSD drives
    2- Mechanical HD

A newer Quality built Brand name 750 Watt  PSU should be fine.

Great Point made by Bob in the Post above ---> You WANT a PSU with enough of the correct connectors for GPUs

    Hah!
I was wondering if I could ever use my 780 and 770 cards to do sli.
Alas, they are 3gb and 4gb versions though, and the front page says that it probably wont work.
