You should check the gtx 970 backplate on the accessories. It will say that ssc is part of the compatibility.
Sorry cant link you the backplate. Youre going have to do it. -phone

im guessing it might fit, but wouldnt look right
they appear to have moved the bios switches
not sure of airwolfs claim of being longer though, could be because of the changes i guess

it is definitely longer as can be scene on the product description on evga website. also it is almost assured that the old backplate will not fit as the backplate that is on the new ftw+ is definitely larger than the one on the current sc and ftw. you can see the new ftw+ here as it is released https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQCtwsvXMQg&feature=youtu.be&a

I figured it wouldn't fit being the card was longer. Anyway, I will know the answer for sure within the next couple of weeks once my new cards come in. Anyone want to guess how long it will take EVGA to get the new ones in the product store and available??? :D

According to EVGA's website, the old GTX970's (04G-P4-2972-KR, 04G-P4-2974-KR, 04G-P4-2975-KR, 04G-P4-2978-KR) backplate is not compatible with the new 970 SSC (04G-P4-3975-KR) design. Don't buy it for the new one unless EVGA says otherwise. http://www.evga.com/Produ...aspx?pn=100-BP-0972-B9
