It started back last month where the Graphic card would stop working mid playing games (stopped showing in the monitor that's connected to the card), I would be able to fix it by updating the drivers and windows update but now it's not being detected at all. the EVGA Precisionx16 says "No supported Hardware detected", the device manager only shows intel and not the NIVIDA Graphics card.. when I manually try to install it, it says there is no compatible device detected. I watched videos on taking it out of the slot, cleaning the port connection.. nothing worked.. Manually installing nothing worked.. Updating the BIOS.. recently did it and nothing worked.. the 780ti is on.. you can see the green lights on the GEFORCE GTX and the fan is spinning as on a high setting.. I literally tried everything but it doesn't detect on the Motherboard at all. What should I do?

You mentioned that your device manager only shows the Intel video & not the GTX 780Ti so have you double checked your bios to ensure that the internal video is disabled? That is most like the reason it is not working because it is somehow using the integrated Intel one.

@ phantom I did go to BIOS and then CHIPSET CONFIG, - In the BIOS settings go to Chipset > GPU Configuration. In this section, you will have to locate the dGPU feature.
- Once you find the dGPU feature, enable it.
- Press F10 to save the settings and reboot. When the reboot is complete, your system will detect the NVIDIA GPU
i did this step but I don't find the dGPU feature to enable.. am I looking In the wrong area? I have a ASROCK Z97 killer BIOS soo not sure if its in another location.. or how do you suggest i enable it?

Under chipset config, there should be a setting IGPU Multi-Monitor & that should be set for disabled to use the GTX 780Ti. This under advanced screen page 81 of the manual. IGPU Multi-Monitor Select disable to disable the integrated graphics when an external graphics card is installed. Select enable to keep the integrated graphics enabled at all times.

Disassemble the card and bake the PCB with the GPU chip side up in an oven preheated to 200C for 10 minutes, reapply thermal paste and pads, reassemble, and hope for the best..That should reflow any solder cracking that might exist..What you describe is one of the symptoms exhibited by solder cracking..If that don't fix it, it sounds no good to me. See one of the many videos about Fixing a graphics card using oven! aka the 'oven trick'.

Ask a friend if you can try the card in his/her system. Good way to rule stuff out :)

It is difficult for me to understand exactly what you did... you probably have this concept covered and understood, so I apologize in advance if this is redundant. Given your description of your device settings, it sounds like you have connected a monitor to both the graphics card and the integrated graphics of your CPU. As far as I can tell, that type of display configuration is not universally supported on all motherboards... meaning that when connected via the mother board, the graphics card must be disabled. So the lack of detection while in that configuration might be a red herring... again that is mother board dependent. The good news is that the integrated graphics working indicates if a HW problem exists, it can be isolated to either the graphics card or the mother board. If you can't load the MB bios while displaying through the graphics card, then no amount of driver updates will solve your problem (you probably already know that). That last post about finding a good friend is probably the easiest solution... although such is a true test of friendship :)

That's odd, don't know much but maybe try reisnistalling drivers, keep it up to date. And most importantly test your hardware. It maybe be the graphics card or maybe something else

since this card was very slowly experiencing issues before it was no longer recognized, i would suspect the contacts first. polish them up and install in to the PCIe connector again. then check to make sure that the power is properly connected and is actually supplying power (use a voltmeter if you have one). the BIOS suggestion from a previous post is a very good one also.

I just had this issue with my 980 ti and I think the only thing that fixed it was upgrading the BIOS, adding a registry dword "TdrDelay" value 5 in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers, and restarting the computer a bunch of times. Then it worked.
