Got a problem with a GTX 470 that I can't solve. I bought it brand new and used it for about a year, and then sent it to a friend and it worked for while longer and all of a sudden he was getting a Code 43 error, basicly what happens is he was just at the desktop and the Nvidia drivers tried to reset and failed and now gets this error in device manager, so he sent it back to me since I'm the original owner and I put it in one of my computers and I confirmed the same problem. Is thier something I can do to fix it here or is it RMA time?

Did he change/update drivers recently? I imagine you probably have since giving it away.

Yea he tested many drivers on it with same problem, the card just won't except any and brings back the same Code 43

he is currently running a GT 630 card in his system and its working fine, and I had a GTX 460 in the system I tested the 470 in and it worked fine.

Have you used a monitoring program to check the temperatures? Is the error 43 there from the beginning or does there error come up after a certain amount of time? If so, how long?

The only time i ever had a 'code 43' error - it ended up being the dying stages of the card. The RMA card never showed that error  again

It's thier from the beginning, Aero Glass doesn't even work once windows boots up and its stuck at 800x600 resolution

I'm pretty sure its a hardware failure, I'm gonna RMA it soon.
