No matter how many times I try to install this card. Fail. Complete uninstall of nvidia drivers. Shut down, replaced card. Half way through installing drivers, restart. Begin again, and again, and again....ugh. Anybody else have this issue? Thanks.

What are your full system specs? Don't forget to include make/model/age of psu.

Cyberpower PC, Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard. AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core Processor. 8 gigs of RAM. Viotek 550w Power Supply, with 28A on the +12v rail. Entire rig is less than a year old. With the exception of the video card.

That psu is utter junk, it only has a maximum of 340 watts available on the +12V rail. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause of your problem.

I'd lose that el cheapo power supply and get a better one, say at least a quality single +12V rail 600W unit..A GTX 460 SE could be using up half the amps on the +12V rail of the Viotek 550W..That, on top of what your system requires could be causing the shutdown..Shutdowns are most commonly attributed to an insufficient or faulty PSU..If you use the EVGA Power Meter, you'll receive an automatic 20% off discount code in your email (good only in the EVGA U.S. Shopping Cart).

To check the power supply you can go into the motherboard BIOS/UEFI and look for "Hardware Monitor" or "PC Health Status" and look for a live readout of the 12v rail of the power supply. The 12v rail should read between 11.4v and 12.6v (+/- 5% of the rail's rating). It should be stable, with little to no fluctuations. A fluctuation higher than .1v, or more often than every 10 seconds could be an indication of an issue with the 12v rail, and you should consider having your power supply tested or replaced.

By the way, late late update. None of anything worked. No matter what. So, opened front door and used 460 vid card for target practice. Junk. Lol
