I have been waiting for the GTX 1080ti FTW edition to come back in stock and looking at the website, it appears to no longer be listed. Has this model been discontinued?

It's about time since it's not been in stock for months. Bet a few were waiting for it to hit since it was the cheapest ti on the list at $850 okay cause they never had to update the price since it was never in stock.

Will make it harder to resell though without the product page for the stats.

What the hell?  I've been religiously checking for those cards to come in stock, and now they are just gone?  There was never any chance of them coming back in stock anyway?  What is the point of the Elite program?

Maybe it has something to do with the new Nvidia parter program.

That's too bad if Elite has ended.  It looked a like a nice reward for loyal customers who are active in the community, and a chance for gamers to actually get a product at a fair price before it's snapped up by some crypto-mining firm.

Associate Code XX95PJN1T76IONP for discounts at the EVGA store.  Thanks to anyone who uses it.

Doubt that, don't think EVGA does any AMD cards so they shouldn't have any issues or hurdles with the GPP. I imagine they just decided to remove it to 1) avoid questions about where/when Elite stock will be available when they aren't planning on producing any soon, and 2) to mask the size of the recent price jumps on their store page so it's not as obvious to see what prices "used" to be looking at Elite, and waiting to buy until Elite is available or prices come down to match again

I'm kind of glad they discontinued the 6797 K1/K2 now I don't have to keep checking every site every day and I can wait for the new founders edition cards when they come out Q1/Q3.  I was so tempted to buy one of them despite knowing about its well documented and ongoing power issues as well as the imminent release of a new GPU.  Saved me from my own impatience!

At this point should I just get a standard 1080?  I'm currently using a 770.

Nvidia warned prices would increase... and people are surprised prices did just that?

If elite is gone, I am fine with that. Hopefully it will stop the spam.

They are probably gone for good, maybe some will pop up in B stock.  The other day EVGA had 18 different 1080 Ti models, so they removed 5 for a new total of 13 1080 Ti models just this week.  Eventually EVGA/Nvidia/Asus will stop manufacturing the 10xx series as it did with the 9xxx series.

I predict that they are starting the process of phasing out 10xx series in prep for the 20xx/11xx Volta series.

Nvidia has a lot of trade show/presentations scheduled that they could be announcing products.  There is also some new report about them announcing something this Monday in partnership with Microsoft.  Something about adding DirectX stuff for Real Time Ray Tracing.  It looks like this will be part of an update to Direct X12, like how Hairworks was part of a Direct X11 update.

Its good news that they are publicly talking about Volta.  This, in combination with my prediction above tells us that the process is starting for the next generation.  Crossing fingers it happens sooner rather than later.

Nvidia didn't really warn about price hikes, this came from a report from Massdrop, not Nvidia directly.

EVGA has (TOS removed) timing.  The only reason people have been buying there cards is only because they had "reasonable" MSRP, however slightly elevated. Everyone has been getting (TOS removed) by these reseller's prices, but its like EVGA is too dumb to notice how bad it actually is and should have raised prices much sooner than they did.  Previously prices would go up $20-30 every couple of weeks, but they just jumped $70-$100 (depending on the card) a few days ago.

These new EVGA prices are about on-par with what you can get on Ebay.

One, the language will possibly get you banned, even abbreviating and masking said language, so avoid it.

Third party pricing isn’t going to improve. Nvidia clearly warned of price increases so it should almost be expected.

A few days ago, someone complained that Nvidia hasn’t raised their prices when evga did... Nvidia controls the stock and sale of all GPU scores, and they occasionally get cards in as well. Buy from Nvidia, as they have the lowest prices. The FTW3 cards are a gimmick since they are still power limited anyway. The only advantage to them is the extra fan. Save the extra money that would otherwise be wasted and buy a stock card plus watercooling parts and make the best of the situation.

Not sure you actually understand what vulgar language is then.  Crap is not vulgar. but nice try.

P.S. if it violated the terms, do you think that reporting it is a good idea?  Think about that.

i pointed this out in a previous post, but i'll say it again. people are buying every 1080 ti EVGA can manufacture even at inflated prices (FTW3 is now $1000). 12GHz RAM and fancy colored shrouds for ELITE cards add to the production cost, and there is absolutely no reason for them to do this from a business standpoint if they can sell whatever they want for whatever they want.

additionally, TSMC is retooling their fabs for 12nm production, and samsung/micron will soon be transitioning to GDDR6, which means that nvidia will have no choice but to replace Pascal with whatever architecture they designed for the new process and memory. Pascal's days as a whole are numbered, so no point is placing orders for pricey that will be discontinued in a matter of months anyway.

that was a $20-30 increase at wholesale projection back in aug-17 from ddrr5 run pricing. that should have translated to a 30-40 dollar msrp bump on a ti

what we have seen is a 200 dollar bump from retailers taking advantage of the shortage. actually i'm not sure advantage is the right word because more margin likely isn't equaling more profit since supply is so low.

personally. i think we will see a reveal in 10 days. the non existent pascal supply, 4k 144 due out later this year. gddr6 being easier to get than 5.

if nvidia wanted to make another production run for pascal they already could have. this shortage is over 90 days and counting. i know the current rumor is q3 but that just doesn't make financial sense as we would have already had a pascal resupply if they were to be continued, not this rationing we have seen since the 1st week of jan

such a limited supply is going to be devastating on the quarterly which again doesn't make sense

they already have. this was done back around christmas

the reason every 1080ti is selling is because there are so few to be had. miners sure aren't paying $1000 for $2 a day profits and gamers.....they might be as it's only $200-250 extra on a system but cpus are down, ram is down and power supplies are down vs 3 months ago which helps keep the total reasonable. 8700k is $50 less than 90 days ago. 16gb of 3200 is about 25 less. a good 650 gold is around 100 vs 129. that's 100 saved in the other components right there. motherboards on average are also 20 less for various z370. now you're only talking $100 difference to build now vs december and gamers wanna game. that fortnight addiction is strong
