I currently use a GTX 1080 FTW and I don't know why my gtx 1080 run on a really slow memory clock speed: 405mhz. It's cannot OC or anything. If i want to play game I have to switch the bios switch to the second bios "slave" which is run the memory clock about 5005mhz. I'm totally good with that but my first bios cannot do anything. Can someone resolve this problem for me. Appreciate all the ideas :D

Maybe get ahold of evga and have them send you a copy of the master bios to reflash it.

Call EVGA, they have great support  https://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

    1) the "Slave" (2nd BIOS) is set for more performance - I'd run it all the time

You can slide the Temp & Power targets to 100% and get a little more from your card; especially if you set a fan curve to keep it cool

No worries as Nvidia Boost 3.0 will override any settings if card gets too hot

405MHz is the default memory clock speed at idle.  Did you monitor the speed after you put a load on the GPU?  Not sure how K-boost affects what you see in the monitoring graph.  I don't use that.

Download the original primary vbios from this page and reflash your card with it.

You can use gpu-z to see the primary vbios version number as long as you load into windows on the primary vbios. Once you know the primary vbios version number you can use this website to download the original vbios if it's listed. After downloading the original vbios you can use nvflash to reflash the original vbios to your card.

I must have misunderstood what you were asking above.  The BIOS rev you see in GPU-z is the one you're currently using on your GPU.

The 1st pic is when my GPU is running at idle core and memory clock speeds.  The 2nd pic is when I put any load from a game or benchmark etc...  Does your GPU memory clock not increase like mine shows with a load?  How are you monitoring that?

But with selecting the slave bios and resetting the power, it's normal again right?

Okay... lets make it as simple as possible. Using only GPU-Z, no Precision no Afterburner, nothing the GPU-Z. Click on the little blue ? mark icon.

This will open a small graphic app which will load the GPU enough to show your default memory clocks under load.

You can find out what the original vbios version is suppose to be by removing the backplate on the card, and looking at the vbios version sticker on the card.

Would of been real easy if you called evga and they emailed you the bios as most likely would of been a .exe file and you would just launch it to flash.

Now you'll have to download nvflash and open a command prompt window and know some basic dos commands to change the directory to the nvflash folder which has the new bios and type in a certain command string to flash the bios.

Or you can just drag the .rom file into Nvflash...I don't know why most folks don't know that old trick. If you're flashing a compatible ROM, all you need to do is click and drag the ROM file and 'drop' it into NvFlash.exe and it will launch the utility.
