Hello, i'm planning to buy EVGA GTX 1080 Ti Waterblock to replace ICX cooler on my card. I have some questions about it.
1. Is the waterblock cooler quieter than ICX cooler?
2. Where does the heat go when using waterblock cooler? (I know that ICX cooler blows the heat inside my case and the blower cooler blows the heat towards the back to the outside).
3. Does it come with installation instruction? Is it easy to install?
4. Would the card equipped with waterblock still fit inside my Core V1 case? (Link to the case on Newegg: https://tinyurl.com/yd9hk9hq)
5. Let say if i don't think i can install the waterblock myself, does EVGA have a step up program going from GTX 1080 Ti (11G-P4-6393-KR) to GTX 1080 Ti Hybrid?

    1. Definitely quieter. The noise levels will be determined by the rad & fans you use plus what speed they run at.
    2. The heat will mostly be exhausted from the rad so your case will be much cooler compared to running an open air cooled GPU. Provided the rad fans are blowing out the case o' course. :)
    3. I've never encountered a block that didn't have instructions. Blocks aren't terribly difficult to install and there's plenty of youtube video guides on how to do it.
    4. If the card fits in the case with the air cooler a card with a block shouldn't be a problem.
     
    That's a very small case!
    It looks like it might just be doable, just from a quick Google search I've seen people with a custom CPU loop in that case with an air cooled GPU.
    So I guess you could do a GPU loop and air cool the CPU.
    You'll have to use a small res/pump combo with some kind of mounting option.
    You'll also have to you a single fan rad by the look of it.

    5. Don't know about the step up program, I don't think Australia has it.

    Davidodo Are you aware that you have to create a custom cooling loop to use a waterblock?
     
    From your question number 2 I guessing you never did liquid cooling. Its not only waterblock, you need a pump, a radiator, tubing, fittings and tiny reservoir to fill the loop.
     
    Card with a waterblock will fit into any case (if anything card is smaller than with aircooler), but with such tiny case I would think very long and very hard if investment into liquid cooling is worthwhile. IMHO with this case it's not worth the hassle or investment.

    You are correct. I never built a liquid cooling PC.


    That is the only kit you will need and there will be instructions. You will have to install the kit yourself as there is no step up to that particular card.

    Take your time - do your homework - Always leak test with no power to Anything but the pump 24 Hrs is best -- if something does get wet, Make Sure it is dry before applying power - usually overnight in a dry climate, after removing all the water you can - sometimes you have to remove your card, depends where the leak was
     
    You can buy "Kits" (factory designed to work together)  or go Full custom  (design your own)

    You cant do step-up from 1080Ti to Hybrid version. Only reference card or sc if i know it right.

    Only what is on the Step-Up list
     
    You may have to go to a local shop if one of your friends / local PC club can't help you.
     
    It is not super hard, you need good lighting - flat surface to spread-out the parts - take your time - follow the directions - use proper fitting tools
     
    Go Easy on the Small screws and fasteners - Use a ground strap
