Good afternoon and Happy thanks giving,

I'm starting to do some research on running a gtx 1080 sli set up.

I have a pre-built computer and I noticed that my mother board is: Gygabite H110M-A-CF

I want to ask the people who have knowledge out there if there is a way to set up an sli system with this mother board since I only see (1) PCI slot.

Thanks in advance,

H.

as an owner of a 1080 Sli setup, i'd advise selling your single 1080 and getting a 1080ti rather than going with Sli, IMHO

+ that motherboard only has one slot for PCI-e 16x and is no use for Sli

    Thank you for your input.

Why is it that you would rather have the 1080 ti over (2) 1080s?

also where would be a good place to sell the 1080 I currently have.

I wouldn't personally as i have the Motherboard support for multiple Sli configurations,

while 2x1080 should outperform a single 1080ti it doesn't always follow, support for Sli over the next few years will dwindle and according to most reports, lazy game developers will have to implement Sli/mGPU into software and i can't as well as other reviewers see that happening to well because if costs and sheer lazyness, fair enough there will be some niche games but that is about it,  so use of one card is going to be optimal,

I mean don't get me wrong it's a great sight to see two or more cards in action in one machine but then when you way up the costs involved you be as well get a single card that will perform just as well if not better, this is just my opinion humble may it be

With the motherboard you have you would be looking at the cost of another 1080 + cost of a motherboard upgrade, which really is not cost effective, but then it depends if you have money to set on fire?

ebay on a buy it now(best offer), list on amazon sell to rich friend that is some options :D

Better off grabbing the 1080ti anyways.. few sli enables games currently anyways. Plus the added heat involved with r uning dual cards needing water cooling for them as the top card will bake.

1080ti and problems will be gone.
