BR worthy for his effort to unlock that?

He got my  up!  Thank you for the great info OP

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

This is worthy of a EVGA t-shirt. Just include it in my 1080 order :D

Now the question is, will all cards be available at launch?!?

good catch! Maybe NVIDIA has made it open source so others can make their own way to access and leverage the tech?

I hope I will never need to install MSI Afterburner again.
I listen Techpowerup and they say 83C under Load. But EVGA Hybrid will fix that.
I love so much Hybrid cards, and previous models were fantastic, 980 and 980Ti, special with new aluminum shroud.
I think EVGA should launch Hybrid cards with very similar clock to Classified.

Looking forward to the hybrid. Have a feeling it'll be a similar price to the Founders Edition if not a bit higher.

Paper Launches like this are annoying.  And its going to be even worse if all they have is the Founders (ripoff) Edition on the 27th.

Part of me is/was hoping that the new Precision X OC would work nicely with my 980 Ti Hydro Copper as well.

Specifically the OC scanner part allowing you to find the right voltage/oc curve for your card.

Because it would be terrible if you had to wait a week for computex to end, right? I'm not understanding why everyone on here is being so damn impatient. More than likely they are going to sell out in minutes and you won't get one anyways.

I just built an entire new rig for this GPU release.  My old PC was a 2500k with a GTX 580.  Right now I have my new PC with a 6700k and no GPU until I can get a 1080.   I gave my old PC to my sister as a hand me down.
So yea I want to try and get a card asap and I need it more then people trying to upgrade from their 900 series cards.

I also got a PG279Q and I cant even plug it into my old GPU...

You can look at the prices of the 980ti versions and if you guessed that the price differential for the 1080 variants would be close.. you'd probably be.. close.

Estimating the hybrid at ~£620 at the moment, though I could be off obviously

This is assuming they stick to the baseline $599 MSRP and not the $699 FE

Why is this? Are not EVGA PX and MSI Afterburner almost the same application?
    Pros-cons?

MSI afterburner is paired up with Rivatuner to give a good on screen display of frames and other GPU information.  I dont know if EVGA precision x can do the same thing.

Precision maybe better for overclocking the new 1080 series card but if its lacking the on screen display features alot of people may still use MSI afterburner.

There never was going to be any TI offerings at all for this release.  I dont know where you got that idea.  There wont be any TI's for about a year or so.  They dont release TI at the same time as normal cards.  Ever.  They always wait between the releases.   The TI is going to be an upgraded card.  Its not the same as 1000 series.

Nobody said anything about TI at all.

I don't know why you're expecting a Ti release with the 1080? They're two different cards.

Not to mention the Ti would almost definitely ruin 1080 sales as it's always a better price:performance offering.
