@Scarlet-Tech: that image is straight BAWWWS.

Sadly, I sacrificed the beauty of the RGB so that I could upgrade, and I didn't want to spend an extra $250 per card to get the 980ti K|ngp|n cards just to keep the RGB feature. Now, I simply have clear plexi waterblocks again.

that's still pretty awesome looking. if i was into heavy OC'ing, and stuff like that, i'd look into a custom watercooling system. it would be total overkill for my current needs/wants though.

today was a good day for me. finally scored an Asus 1080 Strix OC, so i don't have to suffer from this FE's green letters anymore lol. i'm sure this baby will last me til an EVGA Hybrid version of the 1080 Ti or 1180 (?) gets released.

Snow White: NZXT Switch 810 case, Intel 6700k @ 4.7Ghz, Asus Z170 Deluxe MoBo, NZXT Kraken x61, 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000 with Light Bar Kit, Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, SeaSonic Snow Silent 750w PSU, Windows 10 Pro, (4) Noctua fans, Dell U3415W Ultrawide Monitor @ 80Hz, Corsair Strafe RGB Silent, Corsair SP2500 2.1 System, White CableMod Kit, EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid - EK Vardar F4-120ER (black cable) on the radiator

I don't get this. EVGA HW are great but the overclocking software is really really horrible for my EVGA GTX 1080.

Now they tried out a new software with pascal. EVGA Precision X OC. I really have to try it out again.

OK. Upped the GPU +50Mhz, and as usual, the tool doesn't display the final Frequency, I need another tool: GpuZ for example.

What  does this tell you then? +50Mhz in X OC shows me about 1620Mhz (Default 1607Mhz) ..

Also, the EVGA 1080 SC was reviewed by a swedish hw-site, sweclockers, also confirmed the horrible OC software that made them going mad. They found a solution for the problem though, install MSI Afterburner!

I will also recommend MSI Afterburner. I'm glad it still works with different brands.

Tip of the day: Don't think EVGA should spend more money on the Precision X software. Buy out a specialized EVGA-skinned version from MSI instead!
