G.SKILL Announces New High-End Trident Z Royal Elite Series DDR4 Memory | TechPowerUp

G.SKILL, the world's leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is announcing a new addition of high-performance DDR4 memory kit series to the renowned Trident Z family - the Trident Z Royal Elite series. Featuring a meticulously sculpted crystalline pattern across the polished surface of the aluminium heatspreader, the Trident Z Royal Elite also retains the patented full-length crystalline light bar and 8-zone RGB lighting of the Trident Z Royal to enhance the aesthetics of any high-end PC system build. Representing the upper echelon of DDR4 performance, the G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Elite will be available at speeds of DDR4-3600 to DDR4-5333 at launch.

Evolved from the luxury-class design elements of the Trident Z Royal, G.SKILL is introducing the all-new Trident Z Royal Elite series that features a magnificent multi-faceted crystalline design across the reflective aluminium heatspreader. After more than a year of development in crafting the perfectly-sized crystalline pattern and sculpting the 3D structure onto a solid piece of aluminium, each Trident Z Royal Elite heatspreader is painstakingly chiseled with 76 total facets to bestow the ultimate luxury aesthetic to any PC build. Available in gold or silver colors, Trident Z Royal Elite modules also inherited the iconic full-length crystalline light bar for a dazzling refractive display of RGB lighting.

Trident Z Royal Elite DDR4 memory kits will be available via G.SKILL worldwide distribution partners in May 2021.

Continuing the ongoing G.SKILL legacy for fast DDR4 memory performance, the Trident Z Royal Elite offers high-class memory specifications that range from DDR4-3600 to DDR4-5333 and offers 16 GB (8GBx2) to 64 GB (32GBx2) in kit capacity at launch. Each memory kit is constructed from hand-screened memory IC chips and tested for compatibility across a wide range of motherboards to ensure stability and high-frequency overclocked performance. For a list of specifications available at launch, please refer to the chart below.

Very good fast speed memory modules for those who need them.

Looks nice but kind of surprised they went with the term “royal” since it has became a politically charged term this year as the royal family in England has faced backlash.

The sides are kind of interesting looking but you'll never see it unless you use a test bench so not sure what the point is.

Too slow & useless to me.
I will stick with my Samsung M386ABG40M51-CAE  256GB DDR4  LRDIMMs & my Samsung M393ABG40M52-CAE  256GB DDR4  RDIMMs which outperforms everything else I have tried for my ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-Sage SE mobos.

Your registered dimms have horrible latency compared to unbuffered but most people going for threadripper pro wouldn't use unbuffered dimms anyway due to maximum 32GB module capacity.

I have no such limit. each of my mobos has  8 x 256GB DDR4 dimms for 2TB per mobo.

You're using lrdimms and rdimms... only unbuffered have 32gb module capacity limit.  Not sure if you're trying to flex because nobody cares?

That is some hideous looking RAM... The timings are also horrendous.

I just wish that G.Skill & the others (Crucial/Corsair/Mushkin,etc.) would adopt the larger module sizes because in the early years I switched from several other brands to G.skill for their performance but unfortunately my OEM distributors tried & none of the regular brands except Samsung currently makes the larger modules I require. Hopefully later this year or in 2022 G.skill may start producing them & I can switch over. My other non-business motherboards use G.skill because they are much better than the Corsairs that were previously in them.

I don't see them going into the server memory market since they just use JEDEC specs and g.skill and others focus on binning chips and selling them at a huge upcharge, margins on server ram aren't too high I wouldn't imagine.

You would think for a high-end product they'd have better/tighter timings but oh well.

There are not many (or any?) kits out there with tighter timings that run at those speeds...at least the higher speeds anyway.

DDR4 4400 C16 is still the fastest that I'm seeing.   Anyone have any good info on DDR5 specs?

Looks too gaudy and wouldn't match most builds probably.

I don't get what the point is of pushing the speed up if the latencies also go up, anyone know?
