From what I have read The GTX 750 and GTX 750Ti (Maxwell) are not yet supported for Crunching or BOINC GPU Projects.

GPU Grid is working trying to get a stable Cuda 6 application going for Maxwell cards but from what I have read they are having problems. When they do get it to work they think the 750's will perform like a GTX480. People who have tried GPU Grid on the 750's all report the current GPU Grid Cuda apps all crash at some point in the run.

I keep following the progress with the 750's. Seems to me to be a viable way to build a  low cost/low power GPU crunching system. Slap a i5 in with four 750's and let it crunch away. Now if EVGA would come up with a cooler for the 750's that doesn't sound like a leaf blower. Their latest BIOS attempt to quiet the blower down seems to have failed.

So right now it looks like the 660Ti and the 760 are the low cost GPU of choice. I keep thinking I want to upgrade from my current 680 but the only improvement would be to go to a 690, 780, 780Ti, or Titan/Titan Black. Kind of expensive for me at this point even though I keep eying the EVGA 780 SC with the reference cooler. I don't want the ACX cooler because it dumps the heat in the case and not out the back like the reference cooler does.

Low cost/low power is exactly what I am looking for.  The 750's seem like an ideal choice, but I'm surprised that they require a duel-slot.  You would think that for a 60 watt gpu they could come up with a single slot cooler.  Maybe an aftermarket cooler will show up.  If so, I could four of those babies for the about the same wattage as my 570.  That in addition to my 680.

I guess I will find out if that is true sometime next week when mine arrives.  I had to use my EVGA bucks for something.  If it works, great, if not, I'm sure it will be supported eventually.  Hopefully, sooner rather than later.  I'll post my results when I have some.

Einstein@Home has released a beta v1.06 application for Gravitational Wave Search covering both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. The NVIDIA application is OpenCL based this time around. This is the first GPU application with the project that has some double precision usage.

Generally beta applications are released to Albert@Home first but with this new application, the beta is being run via Einstein@Home using the checkbox for "Run beta/test application versions" in the preferences. As with other GPU projects, you can choose to run multiple GPU tasks per GPU by setting the GPU utilization factor of GW apps in the preferences accordingly.

With this beta release, Einstein@Home now has GPU applications for all projects including BRP4, BRP5, FGRP, and GW searches.

the GTX 750Ti is only a single precision GPU.
.

I have ran Milkyway on the 750Ti

Since this topic still seems relevant, I feel like I should update the list (taken from the )
Projects with NVIDIA applications:
* (Windows and Mac OS X on Intel)
* (Windows, Linux 64bit)
* (Linux, Windows and Mac OS X on Intel)
* (Linux 64bit and Windows 64bit or 32bit, requires a video card with Compute Capability 1.3 (CC1.3) or higher)
* (Double precision GPU required, so compute capability 1.3 or higher, meaning a Geforce GTX 260 or better) (Linux 64bit and Windows)
* (Driver 256.00 or better, Compute Capability 1.0 or higher, Minimum device memory 384 MB
* (Proth Prime Search (Sieve), Linux 32bit, Linux 64bit Windows and Mac OS X on Intel; Cullen/Woodall Prime Search (Sieve), Linux 32bit, Linux 64bit, Windows and Mac OS X on Intel)
* (Windows and Linux only)

Projects with ATI/AMD applications:
* (Windows, Windows 64bit, Linux 64bit)
* (Windows and Linux 32bit) Project retired
* (Linux, Windows on Intel; Mac OS X under active development)
* (OpenCL support and Double precision GPU required, so a Radeon 48xx, 47xx, 58xx, 69xx, FirePro V87xx, FireStream 92xx) (Windows only)
* (Driver v10.4 or later, ATI Runtime (not older AMD), Minimum device memory 250 MB
* (Proth Prime Search (Sieve), Linux 32bit, Linux 64bit and Windows)
* (Windows and Linux only)

Maybe the Seti @ home info is a bit out of date.
My old MacPro 5,1 is running two older GPUs being NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670.
I'm hoping to update to GTX 1070s that apparently can't run on Apple systems as yet.
Am looking at using a server cabinet for a Xeon E5- 2630v4 on  an X99 motherboard , to allow more space and cooling solutions.

Sorry, being a NewChum my posting is still a bit clumsy.  The highlighted links did not go through on the quote.  The list shows Seti @ home at the bottom of each list.  I'm keen on Seti, but I do respect and understand the desire to do F @ H which has more tangible results for humanity at the moment.
  Still it only needs One discovery of an eti signal to double the known number of intelligent life in the universe.
