on the side of my 1060 ssc 6gb, right under where it says GEFORCE GTX 1060
its got the letters G P M lit up in blue,  what do they represent?

ASRock Z790 Steel Legend,  DG-75 case
 INTEL I7 13700K LGA1700 @ stock clock
 MSI Geforce RTX 3060-TI

G - graphics core (gpu)
P - power components (vrm)
M - memory (vram)
They can be set to indicate the temperature of each described part of the video card based on color. Mine shows blue for under 60c then green for 60c-83c then red for 83c+.

BTW --> if actual temp is below the minamum temp the led will show as "black" as led will be off
 
if set to 40C = blue and card reads 38 C then led could be off

Is it work without PrecX1 sw? Or I need to use it? Thank you! BTW I love this feature. (GTX 1070 ICX SC2)

You would only need to use EVGA Precision to "Change the set points" = when the color changes
