I got SWBF2 a few weeks ago, playing the solo game, and flying and controlling the Tie Fighter just sucks bean hole for controls. Or is it, Im just use to mouse and keyboard or does Dice really dumb down the game control and physics?

I'm a keyboard flyer in Desert Combat, BC2, BF3, and BF4.
Frostbite engine is good for my flight controls in older games. It could be that it has been dumbed down for SWBF2.

It feels like a point and shoot from the 90's, even 1993's X-wing had a better feel and controls.

True, but Frostbite engine still sucks. This star wars game has massive netcode issues and DICE has been using the same game engine since 2009.

That would be correct. They design the game for the console and port it to the PC.

Yeah, the controls for the flying in the game are oversimplified. The game is not only "consolized", but it is oversimplified to attract a casual type of gamer. Battlefield fans want a Battlefield type of Battlefront experience, but EA (and what appears to be Disney) wants a casual game that can reach a larger audience. What you get is a game that will never be that big of a success, because it does not do anything really well.

Geez, Instead of selling a one size fits all, they could let the devs build the games. The phone app would draw people to buy the console version and the console version would draw people to buy the PC version... that supports VR, and they could sell it three times, and gain a good reputaion. Dang! I should be the big cheese at EA! Greed always gets in the way of a good thing.

Yah, sounds like Disney is the problem now. I've always liked DICE. I got the impression they are passionate about quality, but stuck sometimes between a rock and a hard place when delivering it.
