Hey guys.. anyone know of any free screen capture software that capture 1080p?
I tried using the free Microsoft expression 4.0 but it captures in some silly format that Prem Pro cant deal with and no conversion software wants to convert it well either

Which avatar? Online or offline? As for lowering FPS during record, Zuhl would be better off answering that one. So far I only use it for captures and not recording.

It's not noticable at all. Nothing like FRAPS which is like dragging a ton of bricks with your video board. LOL

i use Bandicam it takes like 10 or 15 fps hmm and i think Bandicam should be better.

Here is me fooling around just trying it out when it was first added to record audio too. You can see my FPS in the corner. I was using a single GTX-980 Gaming 4G by MSI. Looking at the clock rates again, I think this was recorded with my EVGA GTX-680 S/C. Pretty certain my 980 had much higher clocks. Sorry for any confusion. All you can do is try for yourself and see.

Snipping Tool, all Windows Computers have it under Accessories If you have Office 2007 or Higher OneNote.

The video is only 480p... I need 1080p if i can I didnt know if i should just invest in getting an elgato game capture just to save messing around so much. I have to have full screen recording and in a format that prem pro is happy with

I had frame size to 1/2 which is default. 1080p is listed. If you want more detailed information then is the official support site.

You need to install RTSS also. RTSS does all of the recording and screen capturing.

Got ya... all installed.. got the tab now.. how do you start recording? there seems to be no hotkey setup or record button... im been a proper noob

That afterburner seems perfect for gaming recording tho with the FPS small but clear in the corner so will keep that for game recording and if OBS is good ill use that for overclocking apps you get with the GPU's etc

After all that i went out and got a Elgato HD60 Pro so solve so many issues... I will also use the software talked about but for a quicker plug and play recording and to be able to plug in other devices like ps4, nvida shield etc i thought the investment was worth it for the long run
