In less than 48 hours we have gained 5 positions and 8 points in this project. We are sneaking up on our friends at ??? (not mentioned here because some of them read our forums) Keeping it on the downlow.

Note: Only GPUs with DP can run 10 Concurrent tasks like this.
Also if LHC @ home (Sixtrack) be careful of your settings, remember that ATLAS was added and some others as well.

What to Strike Next?

Nice - you should be crushing milky way!

First, MOO Wrapper. It's the POTM starts soon. we are in 8th and could cause nice damage there.
#2, Yoyo, we are in 11th and could move in to get a point or 2 with some effort. (long tasks)
#3, WCG, we are in 10th and could lose a point but we have a steady group doing that work.
Next, Citizen Science Grid, Cosmology, Lattice Project, Leiden Classical, LHC at home, MilkyWay, MindModeling and PRIMABOINCA, we are ranked in the mid teens in most of these. Need to get to 10th to get a point.
 
Maybe we could choose some as POTMS or StrikeForce them.
 
We are ranked 20 or higher in 5 projects.
 
We must believe it's important to hit the sprints when they are announced or we will likely lose rank, as most teams hit them pretty hard

How many cores you got?

Me? I am running 88 threads right now. Some have HT on and some do not.
As far as how many total have all together. I don't know!!! 375 threads maybe?
If I were to fire everything up at once with all HT on.

Yes the marathons are year long. Points accumulated through the calendar year.
We have time to plan the strikes, or make them POTM's
I just joined the Gerasim project where Olddanit is the only member of our team but we sit in 7th place. Now if we were to focus on that........
But first things first Let's MOO!

In less than 72 hours we went from 11th to 5th place and picked up 10 points in VGTU.
At MOO Wrapper we are in 7th now and expect we will improve this week.

I understand the Sprint 3 days...............Marathon? How long are these? or are these a "crunch at leisure" Strike Force deal like you folks have been doing?

What is Formula Boinc ?

 
FormulaBOINC (FB) is a competition for BOINC teams. It is based on the principle of the Formula 1 championship. Starting in 2017, the competition is composed of 2 groups of events:

• Marathons:  each project is considered as a "Grand-Prix". The 10 best teams on each project get a fixed number of FB points.
• Sprints: 20 events of 3-days throughout the year, according to the schedule of the Formula 1 championship. Each sprint will involve only one project. The chosen project will only be known 24 hours before the start of the sprint. The top 10 teams on each sprint are given a fixed number of FB points.

 
The teams selected for the FB are divided into three divisions of 25 teams. The distribution of teams depends on the number of active members (RAC>100) on each project.

Formula Boinc points:

• 1st = 25 FB points
• 2nd =  18 FB points
• 3rd =  15 FB points
• 4th =  12 FB points
• 5th =  10 FB points
• 6th =  8 FB points
• 7th =  6 FB points
• 8th =  4 FB points
• 9th =  2 FB points
• 10th =  1 FB points

The final goal of the Formula Boinc Trophy, more than simply being a new stats site with its winner [at the end of the year], is to promote competition between teams on all projects and not on particularly crediting ones.
Each project having the same weight in this trophy, no project is more or less interesting than another.
This should also help small or new projects at a time when more and more projects are joining the Boinc platform.
