Installed to the system drive just fine.  Would not let me install to a secondary drive.

So first, the MCU firmware upgrade throws a checksum error, and halts, so no go there. Ran as Administrator, no go.

At first it seemed the fans were fixed with 3.3.3. Upon initial install, fans 2 n 3 spun up pretty quick. After saving some profiles, going between mild overclocks, loading defaults etc., the same exact problem with fans 2 n 3 returned. The card runs up to 85/87 degrees, memory at almost 90, and fans 2 n 3 are not even spinning up.
It seems like as soon as I started messing with profiles, things went south. Now, all profiles are gone completely as I deleted them and the problem still exists.

Yes - the first thing I said in my post was I tried running the MCU updater and got a checksum error and it halted the update.

Edit: Hit Default, then exited, now it works again. Presumably the previous fan curve didn't play nice with the software.

I'm now unable to save profiles or move to the custom fan curve page, it crashes.

I still can't get X1 to actually save any of my settings. The program will randomly put me back at default when I open it sometimes.

Do you have save setting on reboot enabled in settings and are you using profiles?

Thanks for your help
Got the same issue on my 2080Ti XC with Precision X1 0.3.3.0
After update MCU & Precision X1 0.3.3.3, LED works again.

I had this issue too when I was using v0.3.3.0 and at that time Jacob just posted v0.3.3.1. I uninstalled v0.3.3.0 and installed v0.3.3.1 and I was able to go to the custom fan curve page without it crashing and set my custom fan curve.

I have had 2 issues with this beta as sometimes my 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra thinks it is just plain 2080Ti as it did this twice and I lost 1 of my fans also. I can get it back from a 2080Ti to the FTW3 but exiting but I lost 1 fan in the process. Also it keeps on unchecking auto fan control and I have to enable all of the time.

I think think 0.3.3.3 version forces flash tool update dialog on every run, I had installed and applied update from the 0.3.3 version and that messed up the led and fan, after that I applied the MCU update, thank god that fixed the issue but now every time I open x1(0.3.3.3) the flashtool dialog box pops up asking to apply update again. I think I will need to uninstall 0.3.3.3 version and install the regular 0.3.3 to get rid of the dialong pop up every time I run it - thoughts admins?

Re: For those with RGB LED and/or Fan Control Issues 2018/10/28 03:10:10 (permalink)
Ok I described it better in the other thread, but the exact issue is that after some undetermined amount of time of the computer being inactive, I come back, and px1 has the power wattage dissappear, and fans 2 and 3 stay at zero no matter what. I then close and reopen the software, and it then shows the bug where only 2 fans show, no power wattage and you can't control the fans, and if you change the display the software crashes. The only way to then fix that is to turn off my computer and power flush it.

Same thing here. Auto fan control unchecking it’s self

I finally figured out how to keep the fans option from unchecking itself. Just don't hit apply and I have 2 profiles and did a stress test with clocks of 100mhz gpu and 500mhz memory and the temp never got above 74*C during the whole stress test.

FYI, the 0.3.4 Beta X1 Software shut off all fans on my FTW3. I didn't realize at first and walked away. Luckily I have an annoying alarm when the GPU temp reaches 75C.

Don't know if it's a fluke with my software and the 2080TI FTW3, but heads up it shut down my GPU fans. I was idling around 62C...

I reinstalled 0.3.3 and the fans came back on

Not just you, ksuaviator. 0.3.4.0 also shut off my fans. It doesn’t save settings. It won’t scan for overclocks. It seems a big step back.

Not sure why so many problems with Precision X1 but it sure has them.

Re: For those with RGB LED and/or Fan Control Issues 2018/10/29 20:39:07 (permalink)
0.3.4 seems better for me - did a bit of testing tonight. I didn’t try setting any profiles (that seems to really break it good), but all 3 fans came on at 55 degrees.

* Is 55 degrees the target temp for ICX2 to kick the fans on? *

Overall much more consistent/predictable behavior. Was running 0.3.0 before since 0.3.3 was unusable.

How on earth can so many of us be having different behavior?

I’d still like a slightly more aggressive firmware-based ICX2 fan profile.

**********EDIT: SPOKE TOO SOON AGAIN.  Cannot use profiles or it borks fans 2 and 3. It's as much a mess as 0.3.3.

What brings back proper fan operation for 2 and 3 is unchecking the "AUTO" icon, hitting Apply, checking the "AUTO" fan icon again an hitting apply again.  Then fans 2 and 3 operate properly.

I am unable to keep an overclock since I can't use profiles nd without a profile, the settings get lost on a reboot despite the "Apply previous settings on load" being checked.

THIS SUCKS!!!!!

Re: For those with RGB LED and/or Fan Control Issues 2018/10/29 20:57:28 (permalink)
0.3.4 installed well. LED worked again, well, that is until I restarted. LED no longer work. Also, since restart, from once seeing all three of my fans, the software only sees two.
