I don't know much about AMD, but I do know on Nvidia cards, that undervolting or overclocking,is  a main cause of failed Wu's. (On Nvidia GPUs).
Undervolting or overclocking errors, will give the same error in FAH console.

I stay away from undervolting, and let the driver deal with the voltage.
And only use the power slider, to cap the power.

This gives 2 advantages:
1- No undervoltage errors
2- Dynamically adjust frequency to the most optimal (without errors).

This last one is important, when you're able to get the card's temperature down, as the Nvidia driver can get close to stock boost speeds (within 50-150Mhz), when the card is cold enough (and with an overclock).

Doing it this way, I can actually overclock, and power cap;and just focus on tuning my overclock settings. The rest, the driver takes care for.

I realize this thread is about AMD and not Nvidia, but perhaps there are some parallels between the brands.
Thank you for your information.

Ended up have to drop the GPU Clock down to 1800 MHz & the Memory down to 1000 MHz only for Folding.

Folding doesn't really benefit from VRAM overclocking. On GTX cards, a +700Mhz overclock results in 10% PPD gain.
On RTX cards, a 1400Mhz overclock (my default overclock) results in about 2-5% speed increase, which is well within the variables between project to project.

Thank you for you information, but this thread is not about GTX or RTX (NVIDIA) Graphics Cards it is about the AMD Radeon VII Graphics Card.
Their are many Threads about NVIDIA Graphics Cards both GTX and RTX.

I guess you'll have to read behind what's written.
The principle remains the same. memory overclocking does very little to folding points.
The same that's true for Nvidia, should be true for AMD.
Though lower overclock on the RAM, should allow you to increase the OC on the GPU by bits...

For me 10% is a big difference and we have tested this here on the Forum, I only started this year to OC my Memory on my Graphics Cards for Folding.
Thank you for your information.

The 10% is mostly for GTX GPUs which have much slower memory (7Gbps) than RTX GPUs (which have nearly double the throughput at 15Gbps).

Tflops for a reference 2060 is about 6, 7.5 for a 2070,  9 for 2070 Super, 10 for 2080, 13 for 2080Ti.
Non reference cards have ~1.5 Tflops added, due to higher boost frequencies.
One of my folding servers runs at ~45 Tflops, the other one at ~36-37Tflops.

@ bcav, thank you for Your Information on this card. Been putting the funds aside for 2 of these and was about to pull the trigger but had to rush one of our three cats to the vet, and he now needs surgery.

Bummer, I hope all goes well with the surgery.
It looks like I cannot buy the PowerColor Liquid Devil Radeon RX 5700 XT DirectX 12 AXRX 5700XT 8GBD6-WDH/OC 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6 Video Card
It is now showing "Not available" This would have been my last AMD Card for a few years if not the last.

I does a better job than the GTX 1080 Ti even KPE but Not the RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Cards as they are the fastest.
I will go back to Folding on New Years Eve.

Don't forget Bavi has messed up OpenCL right now. Anandtech couldn't get the folding benchmark to run on it.
Radeon VII is the best card right now from AMD due to the extreme memory bandwidth of HBM.
I've not been tempted to venture to AND waters. EVGA just upped my 1080ti to a 2080 via RMA so that'll be an interesting addition.

I wonder if the current Driver will work or is this a Hardware Issue.
If Hardware then the card would not be able to Crunch as well but seems to be the Version of OpenMM used in Core 21.
Core22 will have a Newer Version of OpenMM and will then support the Navi Graphics Cards.
Maybe I will not Mix this Card with the AMD Radeon VII Graphics Card

Quoting Ryan Smith, "AMD’s Adrenaline 2020 software has improved the state of their OpenCL drivers slightly – there are fewer hard crashes and performance is up in some cases – but their drivers are still dysfunctional and not fit for production use. In particular, Folding@Home and parts of CompuBench are still unable to run."

Apparently this was the case for at least 5 months since the 5700 cards launched.
