Hi all,

I built my computer (Ryzen 7 1800X, ASUS Prime B350 Plus, CLC 280) 2 years ago and all along from the start the Flow Control software has given me lots of headache. It startded with the CPU temp not being shown and then some revision(s) later the CPU temp showed up but with a +20 degree offset (which is still the case today some 2 years later).

After a while I realized that the fans might be running a little bit too fast for what is actually needed at idle and for lighter tasks. Since the CPU temp has a +20 degree offset I've been trying to use the Coolant Temp curve to control the fans without any luck. It kind of seems to work but only from around 1100 rpm and up.

I'm about to give up on this software! Is there really no way to get Flow Control to get the fans to run below 1100 rpm which is the case here at idle? Turning off auto and turning the slider all the way down does not work either.

My MB has 1 Fan Header and 2 CH Headers. The CLC 280 (pump and fans) is connected to the Fan Header which is set to DC at 100% and 1 of the CH Fan headers is used for 1 case fan at the back.

I've been reading that some people have connected their fans directly to the MB instead so I've been thinking of trying that myself. Not really sure though how to go along with that since I only have 1 CPU Fan Header. (Yes, my computer building skills will have to be considered as quite novice.)

Can I use the 1 optional CH Header that is free and if so, should I have the Pump connected to the CPU Fan Header and the fans to the CH Header or the other way around? I assume that I also need some kind of splitter for the fans, right?

Any ideas and/or recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Best regards

This software pisses me off and I would suggest never buying an EVGA AIO again.

By the way, I have yet to see manufacturer responses on how some ASUS software can conflict with Flow Control fan speed readings. It's like they're randomly guessing on Newegg review replies.
