Hello guys, I recently purchased this laptop two days ago. I was curious about testing it a bit on various bench, and the best I could have done is a a score of 14656 on firestrike ( standard demo presets). Looking at the leaderboard, I noticed that some people with the same specs have scores up to 17108. I think is a huge gap like if you have a 1080 more than a 1070. I did my test with the cpu clocked at 4.0ghz and gpu ( +200/600).

what was your graphics score?  Can't really compare to the leaderboard, because I know a few friends that flashed a modded bios on their pascal GPU, increasing the TDP to desktop level.

I think he posted his overall score and not the graphics score.
I can get a little over 23k on the 1080, but I was hoping to get 24k like the Alienware, MSI, Clevo, and Predator.  Since it is limited to 180W instead of 200W, seems 23k+ seems to be the max, in line with the Aorus.  Eventually I will increase the TDP to 200W or so with a programmer, and see if nothing blows up.....

with a programmer ? you mean programming the BIOS ?
Just FYI the 1070 one like one seems to be limited by either 135W or 140W.
is there a simple way to do that without unlocking the bios ?
its a shame that we can not increase the voltage

Unfortunately, flashing a modded vBios on Pascal GPUs is harder than the Maxwell ones.  Nvidia decided to put a certificate check, so only with a hardware programmer is it possible to flash a modded vBios to bypass that security check.   The 1070 on laptops are usually around 115W, but if modded to 170W, I've seen scores similar to my 1080!  Like 22k+.

    Score is fine.

Thank you. Now i'm experiencing a big problem, i don't know if you can help me guys: during a bench session, the pc crashed and restarted. After the restart, i'm not able to get it work precisionx mobile anymore. I tried to uninstall, clean the registry but nothing. I even tried to reset the default bios. I'm worried because the fans now are not working, and the laptop is easily heating like that. What can be?

Damn man , but I bet it will harder to cool and supply all that energy I got a wall meter and my laptop consume 200 watts on the main menu of rocket league ! ( the DC adapter is only 240W how much is on your 1080 is 330 W)
those people who modded I bet are MXM card right ? or am I mistaken ? very interesting indeed I didn't think we are going to reach that much power in laptops EVER, I remmber when GTX 780 came out with 100 Watts and everyone was like DAAAMMNNN .

Look at what we are now !

I don't have a Firestrike score but my 1070/Gsync got this on Time Spy:
    Total: 5186
    Graphics: 5398
    CPU: 4164
(No OC, fresh reboot, though I think Gsync was on)
    I will try Firestrike...
