Hello EVGA Community,
I’ve been exploring some upgrades to my current setup and was hoping for advice on pairing the right graphics card with my 60Hz monitor. My current build features an older GTX 1060, and while it’s been solid, I’m starting to notice some limitations with modern games, even at 1080p. I want to ensure my next GPU upgrade maximizes performance without overkill for a 60Hz refresh rate.
Here are some specific questions I’m grappling with:
  1. Which series (RTX 30 or 40) would you recommend for a balance of performance and cost-efficiency?
  2. Does upgrading make sense if I stick to 1080p and 60Hz, or should I consider a monitor upgrade as well? (Perhaps 144Hz for smoother visuals?)
  3. Are there any EVGA GPUs that stand out for gaming at 60Hz? My budget is flexible, but I’d prefer to keep it under $500 if possible.
I mainly play RPGs and open-world games, so visual fidelity is important to me. Additionally, I’ve been curious about NVIDIA’s DLSS technology—how impactful is it on a 60Hz display?
Looking forward to hearing from the experts in this community. Your advice has always been invaluable!

Thanks in advance.
