I ran my 4090 CP and it was 140 FPS but it was only 2560x1440
at 7680x1440 it was 89 FPS 
I run Gear 2  4400 DDR4 
It really doesn't matter that much 
 

Im at 3440x1440 low is 89 while in game, average around 108, and max is 133 but I hardly ever see that unless I am in a none busy area.
I know with a fast enough ram and cpu upgrade I can add about 10-20 fps to each of those. Also see it on my benching scores my CPU is not happy with it and is being taxed on a 12900kf and DDR4 with the card. CPU and ram combo would make a difference.

well then you should buy the parts and find out

I would suggest getting a 4K monitor with that 4090 card you have paid $1700+ for. Instead of running at any other resolution lower than 4k.

Trust me 3440x1440 I'm good, especially in CP 2077 with no frame generation. and I will be well off when RT Overdrive comes out in 4-5 days. Frame Generation will be a requirement if you want the same frames as you got before the update.. If the 4090 had more cuda cores then it would be a full real 4k card. My 3090 TI didn’t even give me the performance I’m getting now on my Ultrawide. My next purchase if I can find the right display arm compatible for my desk is LG’s 45” Ultrawide OLED display has 233 or 244hz somewhere around there, all the bells and whistles I would want out of a display.

I hear you there as I have also had eVga 3090Ti and now MSI 4090 which I bought 2 weeks ago. I have been using 4k monitors since the eVga 2080TI days. I am getting in the CP benchmark is 188fps Avg. and min. of 110fps at 4k with all settings at max. I am sure the new CP update will put the 4090 to it's knees with that new setting. My current setup is in my signature also.


Well CP 2077 is getting DLSS 3.1 with a Frame Generation Update for it, so all the weirdness we saw a lot of it will be near nonexistent. So we can use Frame Generation and not be slammed with a huge visual downgrade. *Happy Dance*

my wife's 3440x1440 is handled by a 3090ti and it easily chews up everything before it . I only went 4090 because I'm pushing 7680x1440 for everything with surround on. (11mp) vs (3440x1440 = 3.9mp)

I have no intension on running the new CP GIMP test coming later this week, DLSS sucks , the reason I have an apex card is to not have to resort to upscaling.

3440x1440 CP 2077 on a 3090 TI will be anywhere from 58-78ish with the short occasional 100-120 fps in smaller areas with less to render depending on setup on a 12900k with ddr4, with nearly max everything Ultra RT/DLSS Quality/Psycho reflections. You get less frames on psycho RT. Then if you run a bench you notice the CPU score taking a 500-800 points hit if you toss a 4090 into the mix for the 3090 TI. That is what I noticed just running timespy.
If you want even all the eye candy you want at least a 4090 at 3440x1440 in that game.

I saw #s go up in TSE but the feel in games didn't change much until the 4090, because 11 million pixels per frame is such a huge load , the CPU was always waiting on the GPU. I was always playing single player stuff like MSFS and other Sims, I snagged a set of 14.14.14.34 ddr 3600 had tons of potential and snap , I sent it back because I couldn't justify the cost of keeping the royal 4400 set and if I got serious about the timings, they land on nearly the same performance, for a whole bunch of FAFO , default XMP there was 500-700 points on my TSE but 1.2 FPS in real world was just not worth it, the way it might be for a COD bro at 1080p. I just look for my best possible experience. Before the 4090 it was tuning settings on everything,
It was a super happy day when I got a Kingpin card , changed out the 3080, and ran Port Royal and pushed sliders snd throw up a top 100 score , and then open Flight sim and go, "this it it ?....well darn "

I think my case was my slower 32gb 3000mhz cl14, 64gb 3600 CL18 vs my 32gb 4000mhz CL16 B-die in gear one. Should have maybe went with a different kit of DDR4 from the start at 10th gen & jump to 12th. It was my minimum frame rates that really jumped with the last ram kit I purchased. Benching on 3DMark no clue why I lost a consistent 500-800 points off my 12900kf cpu with the 4090. :/

Probably one of those isolated flukes or something I did. Plus side in this my wife’s pc she gets my current cpu/motherboard/ram AIO with her AIO control board going out and I’m upgrading to an Asus Rog Strix z790, 13900k, 32gb ddr5 7200mhz and the new EK AIO that replaced the EK Elite.

This is the fastest DDR4 I've ever tried , being cl14.14.14.34 @ 1,45v its good B die and it slapped down ddr4 4800 , Drop in a 13900k and lock in the min 5.6 ghz , you'll get more than your 5-800 points back

at only 3440x1440 your going to see an influence by the CPU starting to bottleneck with that 4090 chewing it up,
 

I'm going to wait and see what a Raptor lake refresh may bring later this year and then jump to DDR 5 if it ever gets stable, seems to be wonky at best as of now. Just enjoying the games...

7200mhz and 7600mhz, 7800mhz kits are all still around plus cheaper, the 7200mhz is pretty cheap. Safest option if you do not have a silicon lottery i9 13900k.

It's an Engineering Sample that certain testers or labs have a brief look at. Not something that average user will know, but if you had contacts going back far into your earlier career it's something you can have some insight on.
Or perhaps if your job pertains to any in some way, you would have that same chance. Mostly it's about what connections you have.
