I was hoping to be able to purchase a Nu Audio card for my new gaming PC; however, it appears I'm out of luck seeing as how the Audio Card section has been removed from under the PRODUCTS header on the EVGA website. I'm hoping they start making sound cards again, but I'm beginning to think it's not going to happen.

I remember hearing something about a fire hurting the supply chain. I have hopped we would see more of them because the soundcard is really nice while it would be hard to really improve that much it would be good to even get the same card with maybe a new shroud to block more electric interference then the original had more like we saw on the pro.

Just now saw that myself. How sad.  I think those audio cards are/were incredible. I hope mine lasts for a couple years yet.

Yeah the last sound card with which I was genuinely impressed was the Aureal Vortex 2 SQ2500. Nothing could touch A3D for gaming. I’m not expecting the Nahimic 3D Audio for Gamers to be anything like A3D; what I am (or was) expecting is to be amazed by the high-fidelity audio afforded by the high-quality components, design, and execution. @the_Scarlet_one - I’m unable to PM you back because I haven’t met the criteria for being able to PM people.

I think some sections disappear when they don’t have product for a while but I doesn’t mean that the product line is gone for good.

I was looking for sound cards, and I think that EVGA should consider trying to make a product that competes with creative's offerings by offering 32-bit/384khz playback and recording, with direct support for low buffer sizes to minimize latency, while also offering support for variable phantom power for higher end microphones like the antlion modmic series and even studio monitors, and superior support for studio monitor headphones due to their very low impedance by offering a separate driver based volume control. I also recommend making sure it supports 7.1 surround.

I would be happy with a single card instead of 2 for the 5.1 surround and also... a crossover so we don't need to use Equalizer Apo.

Hello, at this time we do not consider these EOL, but we do not have additional incoming products at this time. Because EVGA manufactures these cards, Audio Note (UK) would not have these available for sale. We also have future plans for the NU Audio series, but nothing currently on the horizon, however.
If you are interested, I would strongly consider to purchase a B-Stock version of these cards when they are available.

The factory that makes one of the components for the Audio cards burned down (a while back) and that is why they have been not in stock in years.

Yes, AKM had a major fire at their chip factory back in October 2020 (took 3 days to put out the fire!), which greatly affected production at the time. But besides that, there are some other component shortages, including the op-amps, which affect continued production on the cards, as well.
