Hi all, I run a few stress test if you were wondering how it works

Oh it is not that bad , the only place you can see it is when benchmarking , Depending on the AMD new X3D chips I might jump ship, I used to be a BIG AMD fan boy in the 90s, until the Pandemic I had not built a PC since the Athlon days

I went from the 5950x to a 13700k and noticed quite a bump in performance on CPU heavy games like hell let loose and cod. Also temps are way down from my 5950x too. Was not a bad upgrade for me at any rate !

They do the exact same thing , its only a fan curve adjustment , Boost clock tables are identical, It came shipped in gaming and I only changed it one time to see if  it worked , Silent switch is for Loading experimental Bios

Yeah one of my big games is MSFS and it and similar sims are very heavily CPU limited.  If I'm in a small plane especially now with the 4090 I can get really good FPS, but switch to a heavy scenery area with a payware "study level" airliner and it becomes very CPU limited because of the background systems simulation in them.  It's pretty amusing being in VR and being CPU limited still on a 4090, though I haven't actually started tweaking the VR settings that are typically going to be GPU limited yet.  Especially render scale.

I would like to try VR but don't know If I would like it , I run most everything at 7680x1440 on 3x 27" panels in surround , I would Like to change that 2 3x 32+" panels this summer , any advice you might have for trying VR?

Not really.  I'm still getting into it.  Never really got it working well before because my 2080 Super couldn't really handle the stuff I wanted to do in VR very well.

My hold back is the lens correction aspect.

Which part?  If you mean cause you wear glasses for distance, you can get lens inserts that will fix that.  If you mean the issues on older/cheaper headsets using Fresnel lenses those are starting to be replaced by at least most of the high end stuff now using "pancake" lenses.

What's your ambient temperature or ambient water temp?

i'm not seeing a great increase with the EK Block on a MSI 4090.

Just curious what fan speeds you're using for that in percent?  Also how many rads/type?  I think you mentioned them once but don't remember now.  I'm running Alphacool 30mm in a 360 and 420 and with some Fractal fans that are rated for some decent static pressure and in Witcher 3 last night with the revamped textures etc I was getting about 80% GPU usage and was struggling to keep my coolant at around 36-37 with a "quieter" fan curve that was running about 60-65% at that point and in a similar room temp.  Don't know if I should just ramp the fans up, or upgrade one of the rad spots to a 45mm.  I could also theoretically put a 60mm in the bottom where my current 360 is at with plenty of room for push/pull.  Both rads are pulling in outside air right now.

Radiators are EK 360 SE on floor exhaust with EK vardar fans 1450 rpm base to 1650 @ 40C threshold
Radiator top EK 360 PE with 3 Noctua at same curve .
(All fans on MB headers)
Radiator side EK 360 SE with 3 lian li gen 1 connect set to 1670 static , they move good air and are still very quiet at that point. Glass side Panels won't fit so it's open air. Make sure your Radiator fans are not pulling against a grating, that kills the airflow, , pulling Filter>Grill>Rad>fan is not great either but better than Grill>fan>rad, If you exhaust into the floor, add 45mm to the case feet to let the heat out, or it won't be effective much at all.
D5 60% - cpu temp 30c to 100% @ cpu temp 80c.
I found the thin Rads run suprisinly close to the 45 mm p series as far as efficiency.

OH ya , just looking over the photos, if you put in straight fittings on the bottom Rad and put the fans on top of the Rad pulling, it should help , the fins straighten the air some and provide a plenum effect, the fans scavenging on the bottom just can't produce the needed suction to move enough air.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind when I revamp to hard tube after a vacation in March/April.  I'm probably replacing fans anyway since some of my Fractal Prisma's on the front are having ticking bearing issues after 3 years.  The bottom ones are Fractal of some kind with a bit better static pressure, but not Prisma RGB ones because I was putting them under the rad in push instead of pull.  I could move the rad back up top and leave some fans down below, but I like the rad/fan combo down there to help fill it out a bit since I don't have a big raid array or 2nd ITX system in there.  I wonder if Corsair makes the "reverse flow" fans that some companies are doing now there where say if you mount them in the bottom as an intake, the hub is actually on what would traditionally be the "back side" and the support framework for the hub is on what would traditionally be the front side.  Basically it's a fan with the blades flipped so you don't have to look at the ugly back side when using them as intake.

I might also hit up ModMyMods who has replacement front and top panels for the Enthoo 719 (or you can send your own but I think it's cheaper to buy theirs vs shipping mine safely).  You can get a variety of designs from hex cutouts to pretty much fully open cutouts for massive airflow resistance removal.

Room is about 22-23C water gets up to about 28-29c under sustained loads
what are you not seeing?

Cool , I just discovered ModMYMods yesterday, sweet site, building my wife a PC this weekend if all the part com in, I figured I could not give away my 3090TI with EK block and I have more parts in the closet, might as well put them to use , Not sure yet if its an open bench or going in an OD11XL with QD going out to an alphacool 1080 x45 or rading it up with some 39$ 360s I saw on ebay...I made my first loop with acrylic hard tube and pulled out some soft tube and I will never go hard tube again ,lol

I struggle to keep it GPU under 25C

at idle?

Naw full load. I might have to change the paste/pads to something else, too much of a delta. Despite high flow and 0C coolant. Never had this problem on HydroCopper cards.

I actually got some pads in the wrong place that would have caused bad temperatures but I caught it as I was putting it together, it's easy to do, double check it all and a repaste may help, I have found the Vector 2 blocks are way more efficient than Hydrocopper, keep in mind these new GPU also have more than double the heat load compared to earlier cards. I think there's room for an upgrade of the thermal pads, could get some decent gains also.

Yeah they're pretty good people, wish they had a bigger selection of brands though.  I might end up buying most of my hard tube upgrade etc from Performance PC's instead because of that.  ModMyMods was created by a bunch of ex Frozen CPU employees after the big meltdown that company had a few years back.  I had been chatting with one of them before they bailed after the meltdown and just kinda followed them when I heard about MMM and realized one of the same guys was there lol.

I've played with undervolt/oc, holding on to 2820 clock @390w - 39C  99.2 % stable , 975 mv , 101% PT , +1163 mem , +30 voltage
its all FAFO, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i9-13900K Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 (MS-7D32) (3dmark.com)
It's not breaking records but its faster than stock or even mildly OC,ed , at a reduced power to not start heating the room.

p.s. if you are wondering about the +101 and +30 voltage, it is to keep the card from bowing down under load .
