2.01 was a hard lock up for me. Lol. Error code 4 over and over. Followed the order instructions and all.

I got stuck on code 92 for several attempts at installing 2.08. Each time, I then flashed back to the original BIOS on the EVGA USB that came with the mobo. It probably took 4 or 5 tries, but 2.08 finally installed and has been fine since. I only put 2.08 on one of the BIOS (switch) slots and left the other BIOS alone with their defaults.
My Twin! Except Im on my 10th+. I cant for the life of me get Non-K working anymore. Think I fudged mine up. Or too noob.

When it hangs on 92, are you able to see the BIOS screen but just not get far enough to enter?  Or is it just a black screen?

Our team won't be back in the office until Monday (CNY), but they think it might be microcode related.  I would recommend to try reflashing the BIOS to 2.06 for now, which uses the older microcode.

Can you help explain why its microcode related? I had some success beyond 5ghz on a couple F chips, and can no longer use bclk OC. Ive watched Luumi's videos repeatedly. I can't figure out why I crash when the microcode loads with Bclk patch. Is there a detailed explanation on how to use Bclk OC on this board besides Luumi? Im moving to 2.06. Ive tried (1.0, 1.15, 2.0, 2.1 very bad, 2.4, 2.5, 2.10.) 2.01 bricked my motherboard bios until I reflashed 1.0 5x times. E1, E2. Constant d1-5 codes before shutdown with Bclk patch. Please help. Love it, yet cant use it for what I want. 😔

Yes. Ive had success, but Im too new to these bios. After updating past 2.08 I seemed to brick Bclk OC somehow? With 2.06 should the ME/Chipset drivers be installed from the supplied USB stick? Im thinking Im missing something, I just cant seem to get back to having Bclk OC working again. Going to try 2.06 again right now. Luumi seems to be the only one with info on how to use the function on this board.

ME isnt required, no idea what it even does. You can disable it.

2.08 on classified doesn't work well. If you are using alder lake, I found 1.15 to be the best.

Also with K cpu, 2.09 breaks base clock overclocking anyway.

If you are having issues with different BIOS then try switching the BIOS switch to a different position.

The last time I tried BCLK on 690 classified was with 12400F and that was with 1.15. it's literally why I even bought the board. For 285USD it was a steal as no other board came close to features.

Hey thanks so much for the reply. Im on 2.06 now and it just doesnt seem to allow me to raise the bclk. Microcode is 1E on 2.06 so Im taking a wild guess that it has something to do with bclk OC ability. With 1.15, was there anything specific you had to do? FLL mode 2? PMIC 2? Im fine with lower memory speeds if I can just get the bclk OC to work. Just keep running into speedbumps lol. This is day 3 of trying for me. Feeling like the Sandy bridge days again. Its awesome.

Well, tried on 1.5. Got D1-5 errors. Then switched some settings, 04 code and all fans maxed. All im doing is raising bclk to 116-118, core down, and voltage up to 1.4 does nothing. I have the code page saved and this is the code error. "04 - PCH initialization before microcode loading." Again Im a noob to EVGA bios, and usually use MSI/Asus, so its probably my dumb mistake. Ive followed Luumi's guide, and had 4.8/5ghz. Just cant get it to work anymore. I was super successful with the B660 Mortar max, and figured this thing would smoke it on ability. Going to keep at it. Again, appreciate your help.

Edit : Applying blck patch bricked 1.15. No Cmos reset, no safeboot. Constant 04.
