what could be the cause to this ? temps and performance seems ok just that one is noticeably louder then the other did the test with X1 precision 1 fan at 60% then the other at 60% and thats how i figured it out

im recently confused as to what is making high pitched sounds in my case could be a coil whine from mobo etc... as i was doing that i noticed that  GPU fan 1 is louder then GPU fan 2 even tho
not making a difference at all from 45% to 55% when it goes to 60% to 70% is when i notice that the one fan is making the gpu louder.

is this something to worry about long term ? could there be some kind of a placebo fix to this or a slight fix ?

i tapped alot over the case and slamed/punched with my hand some sides over the pc "not much" so im paranoid if thats not the cause ...

the noise could be a HDD since its very old 2-4 years 4TB or a wraith prism cooler being worn out or PSU ... the gpu is just one of the things i noticed making extra sounds any tips

how could i improve something ? my PC CASE is Be Quiet 500DX

Manufacturing variance. No two things are exactly alike. You could try pushing down the fan until it bottoms out inside the cooler, and then releasing it, and pushing it back down again, and releasing again. Do that a few times to see if it helps. If the noise gets worse it could mean the fan is going out, so you'll need to replace it in the future.

If you are still within the warranty period you can consider an RMA

could it also be that fan 1 is closer to the end of the case then fan 2 ? maybe its just a placebo too

I'm placing this in your original thread & locked the new thread RTX 3060XC IS this a broken fan or not ? video example *not the door sound*

I am not sure, what exactly your demonstrating when touching the running fans ? - as that is not a normal use

Use EVGA Precision X1 & test your GPU fans @ several different RPMs - what happens?

im not sure if i should do an RMA or not  is this normal ? temps are fine its just that its making it louder on same rpm i think

when i touch the first fan it makes a clicking sound and goes down more then the fan 2 when pushed thats why  i though it could be broken or something

I don't think Sajin was suggesting you do it while they were spinning.....

Yeah, you were suppose to do it with the fans off, but I doubt you did any damage. Sounds like something is definitely up with fan 1.

All I have to say is...
If you have coverage you might want to consider  an RMA
rjohnson11

If that is not an option
Aliexpress could be your next great choice.
https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-EVGA-RTX-3060XC.html?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20230210173234&SearchText=EVGA+RTX+3060XC&spm=a2g0o.home.1000002.0

Once you get through their terrible search engine you are protected in your purchase and if they take forever you could get your money back before it arrives.
Read their guarantees carefully..they have time limits to protect you and the shipper's..
EVGA is a great manufacturer...
(you should never put your hand up against the fan when it is running..it is trying to do it's job and you are putting undue stress on it. If all it is doing is making noise turn up the stereo...lol
If it isn't, doing it's job, by spinning like it should get it fixed, possibly, under warranty.

no i dont feel like i did any damage both are running same RPM its just that fan 1 does a different sound when touched then fan 2 as u see in the video

and fan 1 is slightly louder then fan 2 as well

i feel like if it will bother me too much i will do a RMA late in the future but im okay with it since temps are very good

hello Sajin if i could ever go to a local repair shop and ask them about a possible repair/replace of the gpu fans in the future could it void warranty ? asking this because late in the future i would consider a repair or a check of those fans . i could send the GPU to EVGA too but since its a pretty expensive card it worries me . also im not sure if its worth it since the fans are not toooo broken but just maybe one is slightly .

any tips ?

If you replace the fans with the exact same fans your warranty won’t be void.

I'd be really surprised if you could find the EVGA branded fans for purchase, which this GPU has. Therefore, replacing the fans with aftermarket ones, would void the warranty.

If the OP can’t find the exact fans he could still replace the fans with aftermarket ones to keep using the gpu, but he would need to put the original ones back on to retain warranty if he needed to ever rma his card.

I was going to say the same thing Sajin....but I am not qualified..
They do it with aftermarket waterblocks so it only makes sense.
EVGA has a great attitude when it comes to things like that.
