Update 21.1 with pictures for evga team 3080TI Warranty question. please answer

Hello, i have a question.

I purchased a 3080TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming and changed cooler. From Air To Water. I also made a 10 years warrenty for this card.


Now here is a problem, i sold the card with watercooler and Aircooler.

The new owner of this card showed me pictures of the aircooler and has some damage from shipping....or his fault..dont know..No ine can say what happened.

So, if you need the warrenty, the card must be build back to Air cooler. But what is, when the aircooler has some light demage?

    FYI, the buyer doesn't get a 10-year warranty. The extended warranty is not transferrable.

    In other words, if you have owned the product long enough that the transferrable warranty has already expired, this discussion is a moot point.

    The buyer gets the standard warranty based on a product in stock configuration without physical damage.

    Physical damage to the product is not covered under warranty but if you send us an email with some photos we can forward this to the RMA team for review.

    Hi thanks for respond

    it's not a big damage. just a couple of aluminum lambs on the air cooler are bent. This can be corrected with tweezers.

    By the way, this card even has + 1 year normal warranty on Caseking. The Evga guarantee allows the exchange of the cooler. I switched the cooler from air to water. The air cooler must be mounted for RMA. My question now is, for RMA to Caseking (sales shop) or to evga?

    Yes, but EVGA can't always do that.
     
    It's always best to RMA via EVGA when your warranty is valid.

    Just bend those fins back in place. Why are you even trying for an RMA? That is easily corrected by just what you said….a pair of tweezers. You’re just going to be wasting money for shipping of they even accept the RMA. 


    That is considered “physical damage” and is not covered by warranty anyway.

    I sold this card on ebay...now i have to take the card back because of this nonsense.... I wrote the purchaser its easy fixable..but no way...
    Thats why i ask for warrenty because the purchaser told me warrenty doe s not work anymore in this case there is no warrenty whit THIS LITTLE DMG....and it was a shipping demage not from me

    I ask here because i want to sell the card again and can day warrenty is still there with this littele dmg ..
    And yes i will fix it with tweezers

    Thsts why i ask fore information.

    What you may consider a small amount of damage could potentially have caused unseen damage where you can not see. I can understand the buyer not wanted my to deal with the issue themselves. I received a motherboard from a seller once that was in the wrong type of box, and sent it back to them because the board had bent and the seller tried to say it wasn’t damaged. I just happened to have video showing the opening of the box, and the seller was forced to take it back because even if the board worked for a few minutes, the warranty was completely voided due to physical damage.

    If the damage happened in shipping, you should have contacted the shipper about insurance for damage caused during shipping. If damage is in the center of the cooler and the outside, I would not consider that a small amount of damage. That is quite difficult to damage both of those places at once.

    Typically the shipper has the warranty because the shipper would be the one losing money due to the refund/damage. You should have filed a claim with DHL.

    When I sell any PC part I make sure I take lot photos from all sides just for moments like this and I package very well so as not to get damage during shipping unless they crush the box. You should ask him to send pictures of the box. You trusted too easy. makes sure you match serial numbers before taking it any further and sticker has not been tamper with. & Yes I even take pictures of that too.
