    thanks for the link.
    The article says it's the first time we heard of a Raptor Lake refresh. Not true.
     
    A few months ago I read that Meteor Lake would reduce p-core count to 6 while increasing e-core count. That would mean no i9 unless there was a refresh of Raptor Lake for the i9 market. Recently we heard that there were problems with development of Meteor Lake which will cause a delay. So a refresh of Raptor Lake was considered the only recourse.
     
    I don't remember where I read all that or I would post a link.
     
    When I heard of the p-core reduction I decided to go all in on Raptor Lake and Z790. I will be skipping the next generation whenever it happens.

    I’m not even sure about going to Raptor at this point. The gain in FPS are not justifying it for me. I’d be better off jumping from my 3080 to a 4090. But if a refresh does show to be a lot better than a 13900ks, it will be tempting. Will be interesting to see how it pans out
