How many USB ports? I could be blind but I don't see a USB-C header? Are there USB 2 headers for stuff like the Corsair AIO hubs?

If you look at the images on the store page (also on the spec sheet), you can see 6 type A ports on the rear IO and one Type C port. If you look in the spec sheet (manual doesn't seem to be live yet), it says:
    "Internal USB Ports/Headers -
1x USB 2.0 Port (for BIOS update),
    2x USB 2.0 Headers, 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Header"

Spec sheet also has rear IO information.
So yeah...look around lol. Info is there.

    1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Header

That header can go to a type C, but depending on your case, you may need to get an adaptor (I am not personally recommending for or against this one on Amazon, I haven't read reviews, but it was the first one that came up when I did a search and is a good example of what I'm referencing).

I’ll be most interested in seeing the reviews on this to see what the overclocking/PBO optimization process is like. I always liked EVGA BIOS and stability on Intel, so it was a real loss when I had to give this up for my AMD builds over the past year.

I do have an X570 from another manufacturer that I am not entirely happy with. Even with my bias towards EVGA, i’ll have to wait and see if there is enough advantage to be had with this BiOS for it to be worth swapping.

There are a couple of disappointments I have though. No 2.5 Gb LAN was a surprise. Less of a surprise but still a disappointment was to see Realtek for the main audio implementation. I have an X570 mobo with Realtek audio now and really don’t like their implementation of 5.1 surround. On my old X99 Classified (yes, I waited that long to upgrade), the audio support was great, with proper 5.1 support or virtual fills engaged automatically. I was also able to balance the levels, throwing more power to the rear speakers to make for a fuller sound in my space. With the Realtek drivers and software on this other manufacturer’s system, it just doesn’t work nearly as well and I generally get little use from my rear speakers. I am making a bit of an assumption here, but in the end, it’s all Realtek’s sound hardware and software, so i would think it will all be the same.

Had this been out a year ago, there is no question I would have picked this up. But in my current situation, I’ll let other folks handle the early adopter work and watch their progress with interest. It is a higher bar to justify swapping one X570 mobo for another in an already functional and relatively stable system

Most higher end X570 motherboards on the market have both a USBC 3.2 connector and 1 or 2  USB3.0/3.1 connector.  If you use the adaptor, you lose all of the case's USB 3.0 Type A connectors on the case.

This seems to be some sort of major oversight by EVGA by not including the same connectors everyone else has.

It does seem odd, @bavor. My z590 FTW even has one of those in addition to one of the older style this x570 FTW has. My case is too old for type C though lol.

the motherboard looks really nice, I'm kinda surprise it doesn't have WiFi 6E (AX210) like the other X570S motherboards has but it seems it can be upgraded though, the back I/O usb ports seems decent but more could be nice to have, also I can't seem to find any chipset limitations between the M.2 slots and sata ports and pcie slots from the manual I read so I guess that's a good thing

overall the motherboard still looks nice and high quailty and I like it

I know. I was just trying to offer an idea if you really wanted to make it work. There were questions about this during the z590 FTW launch (the z590 FTW does have one of the newer type-c specific headers, but some cases, I believe the 5000X for example, require 2 for full functionality) I completely agree with bavor's follow up as well:

    bavor

There are some hubs available that utilize the motherboard header, but that's another device and cables you'd have to buy, not to mention it isn't at the same bandwidth as the connector you're looking for, and adding a hub adds hops to the system before you even exit the case, so it can potentially limit how many things you can plug in down-stream. Most people don't run into the hops issue for personal use so that's not a major concern, but my company builds systems that have to count the USB hops all the time so I'm more familiar with that issue than I'd like to be lol.

I can't comment on the BIOS of the x570, other than saying if it is similar to the z590, it is very intuitive and easy to use. I have seen some concern/questions about the PBO2 Curve Optimizer. If they don't have those options I'd be very upset as it's one of the coolest features of the Ryzen CPUs. EVGA tends to try and do a lot "under the hood", but also allows a lot of "brute force" manual OC features. So I'm not sure if all the cool utilities and AI-style OC features that other boards have are present. They do usually have an "auto-OC" or "OC ROBOT" but I know with the z590, it just applies an all-core OC, doesn't try to find a way to maximize or find a target temperature. If there was a way it could automatically find the fastest two cores, three cores, 4....etc. and then set up a profile to do that, it would be epic, but that's not currently a thing. Again, I can't speak for the x570, so hopefully someone who owns one can help you with that info.

As for the VRM, short of the Dark series, I don't think you'll find a better one. They're super efficient and stable and short of knocking the marketing behind "how many phases" (which they basically match what everybody else does even though it is misleading and completely unnecessary), I don't think you'll find a review that criticizes the performance of any EVGA VRM design.

I got the board nothing but problems.
First ever amd board I’ve owned to allow me to run ram at rated speed. But the problem is in order to get to windows I have to boot into bios first then save and exit if not I’ll get error messages. Bios doesn’t recognize all hard drives or ssd in boot options but does in security mode. I tried reformatting and buying a new nvme with no luck. Configured to raid mode now my hdd won’t show and ram is throttled too 2133. Tried to trouble shoot again now nothing at all happens when I turn on except I get safe boot light on boards displaying.

thats unfortunate, but there will alweays  be some boards that act up, mine is flawless. i had an asus a while ago that alwasy acted up, it would change bios settings randomly, windows would install then degrade after a bit.  sent in three times and theyu could find no wrong with it. one day i turned on my pc and got red text on boot saying cpu voltage is too high. long story short, the mobos fried my cpu it set volts at 1.9 and killed my cpu. i wasnt overclocking or anything

    Couple of Questions:

    1. Are the RAM slots wired for ECC memory?
    2. Can someone provide a dump of the IOMMU groups?

The lack of a USB 3.2 Gen 2 front panel header is unfortunate as this board looks solid.

I’m about to build a new workstation but I need ECC support and decent IOMMU groups so I can use Linux as the Base OS and pass-through the audio, a couple of USB ports, one M.2 and one PCIe4 x16 slot to a Windows 10 Pro vM

Nevermind. Obviously this board is focused on Windoze. Buying a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master instead.

This board is probably one of the more confusing of boards I’ve dealt with as far as getting everything to work properly is concerned. I’m working on getting an rma going as we speak. I would advise against it until they get all their ducks in a row.

I had a quirky issue with bios. So I flashed it with the port on board and holding reset button per manual and it cleared up. I’ve been thru three x570 boards, and they all have had bios issues and USB port issues, but I still like this one the best

Yes, Windows 11 drivers are available on the EVGA Driver Download page.

I got that Dreaded "Dead Short Problem" about 2 weeks ago, currently plaguing all of the Crosshair Variants according to forums. I don't want a TUF board and the only other two boards that I'm interested in is either this one or the MSI UNIFY MAX board, is anyone having this current EVGA board having any Issues with turning on computer after full shut down (or sometimes, sleep modes ) the problem is that you have to either turn main power switch off on PSU or Disconnect power cables to board and reconnect before it starts again,.... runs absolutely fine otherwise, even during simple reboot ,.. ONLY turning on after shutdown is the Issue!

P.S. and to reiterate , I only use EVGA video cards and now with the AMD line returning I'm strongly thinking of EVGA only in my rigs!!

    Hello All
Issue I have right now with this X570 FTW is the 2 USB headers on the bottom of the board.

Crystal Series 680X RGB ATX High Airflow Tempered Glass Smart Case — Black

iCUE H100i ELITE LCD Display Liquid CPU Cooler [in a Push pull configuration]

    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X - Ryzen 9 5000 Series Vermeer (Zen 3) 16-Core 3.4 GHz Socket AM4 105W None Desktop Processor G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C14D-32GTZR total of 2 kits 64GB
The issue I am having is trying to use the 2 USB headers on the bottom. If I plug into one or the other I cannot use the second one without causing problems to my AIO. In fact the settings with lose the LCD screen setup on my AIO. Has anyone had the same issue or maybe a fix.
I have updated my BIOS as well to 1.09 and no I am not using the EleetX1 software as it has issues with Winodw's 11 Core Isolation program.
