Hello all, been a while since I have been on the forum. Just was looking for some recommendations for a new case. A friend of mine gave me some hardware last week and I crammed it in a mid tower I had laying around from a very old build. Now that everything is up and running with it I'm in the market for a shiny new space appropriate full tower. There's just so many out there. I'm looking in the $150 to $250 range. About to start a family at the ripe age of 48 so I'm on a bit of a budget. Thanks for any input and/or sharing any thoughts. Thanks

I recommend these full towers:

PC Cases | CORSAIR

The 7000D is currently on sale and within your budget. I like the 7000D because it can accept a 420mm or 480mm rad or a 420mm AIO.

That is a good case as well so long as you don't require an AIO or rad larger than 360mm.

A friend actually just texted me recommending this very case! lol.. His son picked one up recently and is also very happy with it.

Even an extra-large 4080 doesn't look so big.

Until I watercooled my ASUS TUF 4090 OC, I had it vertically mounted with a pump/res attached to the back fan block of my O11D XL - it cleared by about ½".

Corsair 7000 airflow is a great case. I really like the be quiet dark base pro 900 v2, but it's starting to get a little dated. Fractal and lian li have some nice looking options too. If you're looking to stick with air cooling the torrent is nice.

If you want a big, strong case, with lots of extra panels and grills, accessories, and a fan header, Fractal Design Define7 is a good choice .
Define 7 — Fractal Design (fractal-design.com)
The front door can be easily removed for greater air flow for radiators or whatever, and it doesn't look bad that way .
It can be ordered with or w/o glass side panel, and  it is wide, so it can handle a huge CPU air cooler .
It even has an optical drive bay .  That's why I bought one .  It's strong enough to put another computer on top of
with no strain, or wobbling at all .  Makes a great end table for your desk :)

Personally I'm a fan of the Fractal Torrent, comes in the full-size tower, mATX Compact, and iTX Nano sizes. The full size includes two 180x38mm intakes and three 140mm fans, so it has good airflow without a high fan speed. Not a good case for CLCs or AIO's though.

Have water, will cool.

My current is the Be Quiet 900 V2 which is pretty nice but the build with it is kind of tricky for how things come apart. Watching a short Youtube video though and everything made sense for me for what panel to remove to gain access to the screws I needed. Guess though that with any case it's best to watch a few Youtube videos since for popular cases you can even get tips on cable management.

I think it's also good to know that the brands people talk about most normally are the brands that make good cases in general. So if you don't like a case people are recommending for it's looks you might want to look at the other cases that the brand make and see if anyone here has any thoughts on the one you like. A lot of buying a case is about the aesthetics of the outside look that you like.

I like Thermaltake being willing to take some risks from time to time on unique products. They are also quality with good performance and features. Sometimes not feeling like the case is a carbon copy of every other build is what people go for. Though for those that do what the carbon copy look they do also have those options.
