I was really hoping that the new 3090 Ti HC would have been released but it looks like we are still months away.

I have no idea why the hydro or KP are still not released ... asking Jacob on Twitter is probably the best place, likely to get any sort of reply

At this point I would wait and see what the 40xx series looks like
For the price of these cards just not worth it.
It’s the end of the 30xx series life cycle and anything bought now will be yesterday’s technology in a couple months.

I am seeing used 3090Ti for sale for 1050$ with 8 to 900 days of warranty left.
With the 4000 series coming out soon I will wait.

Someone found a GFN20 prime. Nice!!!

PrimeGrid’s
Generalized Fermat Prime Search
On 9 August 2022, 11:56:02 UTC, PrimeGrid's Generalized Fermat Prime Search found
the Mega Prime:
19517341048576+1
The prime is 6,595,985 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's “The Largest Known
Primes Database” (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 1st for Generalized Fermat
primes and 13th overall.
The discovery was made by Kazuya Tanaka of Japan using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX
3080 Ti in an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz with 64GB RAM, running
Microsoft Windows 10 Professional x64 Edition. This GPU took about 1 hour, 2 minutes
to complete the probable prime (PRP) test using GeneferOCL5. Kazuya Tanaka is a
member of Team 2ch.
The prime was verified on 10 August 2022, 17:39:14 UTC by Jens Katzur of Germany
using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5675 @ 3.07GHz
with 40GB RAM, running Linux Ubuntu. This computer took about 1 hour, 36 minutes to
complete the probable prime (PRP) test using GeneferOCL5. Jens Katzur is a member
of Planet 3DNow!.
The PRP was confirmed prime on 11 August 2022 by an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @
3.4GHz, running Linux Mint. This computer took about 51 hours, 52 minutes to complete
the primality test using LLR2.
The credits for the discovery are as follows:
1. Kazuya Tanaka (Japan), discoverer
2. PrimeGrid, et al.
3. AthGFNSieve, sieve program developed by David Underbakke
4. GFNSvCUDA , sieve program developed by Anand Nair
5. GeneferOCL5, probable prime program developed by Yves Gallot
6. LLR, primality program developed by Jean Penné
7. LLR2, primality program developed by Pavel Atnashev

One of my best images to date.
And this was with a bad Red Filter that I now have replaced.
It is not that many stacked images but the new Filters I installed make all the difference in the world.

Constellation Orion, (M42) The Orion Nebula & (NGC 1977) Running Man Nebula and (M43) De Mairan's Nebula Upper Right
Lower Left Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) & Horsehead Nebula (IC 434)
There is a lot more in this image but the main ones are listed above.

Hey guys, my sister has been very ill for the last six months or so. Hospice has been involved and helping take care of her. What a wonderful organization they are by the way.
Well she passed away this afternoon, so I am going to lay low for a while and ponder the meaning of life and greave.
Someone please make a thread for the upcoming PG challenge and what ever else comes up .
Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Well it looks like I killed the CPU in my x299 as I did change out the MB today.
I was able to get one on Amazon for $1050.00 so it looks like this will be my last X299 CPU.
I did pick up the Z690 KPE on sale and order the CPU on Amazon but will not be here until January 2023.
Intel Core i9-13900KF Desktop Processor 24 cores (8 P-cores + 16 E-cores) 36M Cache, up to 5.8 GHz
To bad that Intel Dropped the AVX-512 from the z690 Chipset but wanted the PCIE 4/5 for my new 3090

Well the Card I RMA'd last month or so I installed it today being I sent the other card in for the same Water Block Leak.
And this Card is BSOD 119 Black SOD White SOD Artifacts and even if I down clock the Memory -1000 and the GPU -1000 It is still a DOA RMA'ed Card.
So now I have to RMA the RMA card. I do hope that EVGA gives me back my Card with a New Water Block on it being I know the Card I sent in is a Good Card, as what my other card.
Good News is my X299 Dark & 2080 TI KPE is back up and running but now we all have local internet issues because of the Wind Storm we had in the last 24 hours.

They do not offer that any longer and the no longer have an extend warranty program even on their Motherboards.
This tells me that EVGA is retiring. Had I known this I would not have gotten the Z690 Dark KPE Motherboard.

So True about the Cross Ship and Extended Warranty Days.
I will be down one 2080 Ti card for the next event.
I did reinstall my GTX 1080Ti KPE Cards but now they are slow to process.

I now have the Card packed and ready to send back to EVGA.
I took apart my SLI setup so that maybe EVGA can take care of me.

My Z690 is ready to setup all I need is the CPU and that will be here in Jan.
My plan is to install the RTX 3090 in this rig and then put back at least One of the RTX 2080 Ti Cards or what ever they send me back into my X299 rig.

Here is a thread where the person just got a cross ship two days ago, so it seems they still offer it.
