Hello,

I was wondering, since September 27th, when the Z790 boards will be available for purchase. My new build is on hold waiting for the z790 classified, just looking for a release date. Any word EVGA?

I am beginning to wonder if this year is even happening.  Then comes the difficulty of trying to beat the botters to get one.  Wishing for some sort of pre-order.

    still no news?
This time I was really hoping for it, but I think I'll take a banal ROG Extreme, there's no trace of the dark here, let alone if we'll ever see it in Europe...

I'm in the same boat nlodeserto, no news and every other part I need being basically in hand within 2 -3 weeks makes it difficult to hold out as much as I want to.

I was looking to this and other threads from weeks and everywhere else to find some news, it's from Z390 that I want a DARK, but here, in italy, even when it's out is difficoult...
at the end, everytime, i took a rog, the extreme this time, the apex the last. It's a shame.

    next time, maybe...

Yes indeed we will probably have to wait until early next year for a Z790 EVGA MB to finally arrive. Late in the game of course and with most other MB OEM’s having already shown their 'Halo-Board' colors as of September this year. The new Z790 ASUS ROG Extreme can now be had from NEWEGG for $999. Its amazing in how EVGA could jump the price of the Z690 Kingpin from $499 to $829, given the fact that many upgrade minded individuals would never pay for any older generational MB this kind of price increase! I myself was hoping in snagging a Z690 KP for around $450 as the difference in tech between it and the Z790 is not that significant. And then pairing it with a Intel 13900K for good measure. Lastly and with EVGA having lost between 60%-70% of their revenue stream by divorcing NVIDIA, I would have thought that EVGA’s marketing department would be driving and pushing hard any sales opportunities they can muster in these trying times. Surely in my judgment increasing the price by over 40% for the Z690 KP is not the way to go and besides not offering their new Z790 MB by this Black Friday! Thoughts?

Im in the same boat im holding out to on the EVGA Z790.
I wish they gave us a date...
And this time EVGA add a RAM QVL list the previous Z690 did NOT had a QVL list for ram. Since i know motherboards can be very finicky with ram i just don't want to have to spend cash on a ram that the MB won't accept. So please add a QVL i am surprised Z690 did not had a QVL...

I am willing to wait a bit longer but i will get something in December so EVGA bring on these new Dark and Classified SOON!! Don't let us wait to long....
And hopefully the new mb's are available in the EU without much issues...

I'm hoping for some price breaks next week.  I've noticed that the 13900k has inched down a little bit this week as has ddr5 so perhaps the motherboards will follow suite.

    MSI MEG Z790 ACE, Intel i9 13900k, G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32gb 6600, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 ARGB in push/pull, Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC, EVGA Nu Audio, Samsung 990 & 980 Pro's, WD SN850X & Black hdd, EVGA Supernova 1300 G2, Windows 11 Professional, Thermaltake Level 20 XT w/Antec Prizm X 120mm argb fans

Z590 didn't have a QVL either. They said at that time that they won't be doing that (anymore?).
You're better off looking for compatibility info from the ram manufacturer. I use GSkill ram and they have a QVL list, compatibility list.

    EVGA Z590 FTW, i9-11900K, EK-AIO Elite 360 D-RGB, GSkill F4-3600C14D-32GTRSA, EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra, EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2, Corsair 5000D Airflow, BenQ EX2780Q 2560x1440, Windows 10 Pro

For real...? i didn't knew that thats a big bummer if you ask me kind of "un professional" for a expensive motherboard from EVGA whether it be Z590, Z690...
No doubt if you look at memory vendors QVL listings i am sure you will find one. However i honestly think THE motherboard manufacturer should do the testing so that YOU the happy costumer has no headache picking a memory that does work 100% (unless the RAM is DOA or is not working properly). Im hoping EVGA will change their mind and still add a QVL on their Z790 mb's. Since EVGA is so spot on costumer services well we ALL know how IMPORTANT good stable reliable RAM is for a motherboard this is a feature that should be included in their MB software a QVL. We dont really need a QVL for cpu's or PSU's or GPU's or Drives, but RAM is vital if you ask me.

It has been stated by EVGA in many posts, that the CPU - IMC, has the biggest impact to RAM speed "limits" & not the MB, so they stopped listing QVL of RAM

You can always ask your preferred RAM Mfg, which of their products have been tested in any MB

G.Skill stopped QVL listing for the D4RK on the ram above 7600....... Hoping it'll come.   Or its not a good sign.... Hoped to have heard something by now.

Cant use a white apex for motherboard for this build!

shouldn't be an issue running 7600 or 8000 on z690 dark. for best performance, you'll likely want the newest bios when it comes. looks like that one has some a-die optimizations for raptor lake. my gskill 8000 kit should be here tomorrow and i'll try to test this weekend

Are you saying I can run the Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-7800 on my Z690 Dark Kingpin?!

I ask because the manufacturer websites for mobo and ram do not specifically say the Z690 DK is compatible with F5-7800J3646H16GX2-TZ5RK.

    Thank you.

Can you get the 7800 from a place easy to return to? It would be so great if we can check for ourselves and post the answers...instead of waiting for some underfunded QVL dept to do their job.
