I'm really impressed with my 4080 over the 3080. I don't get all the hate on the $1200 price when the 4090 is selling for like 2k. Seems like 12 hundo is a great price. I think the power savings from the card will add up before the 5000's hit. I imagine the 4090 values will normalize a bit now that there's ample 4080's. 

Yesterday late finally got MSI 4080 Ventus 3X OC.
Took out a last EVGA card after two decades with a great nostalgy. Farewell 3070
Too bad, one GPU production is over.

Too hard to install vertical so decided to install horizontal.
Will play with settings over the weekend.

Can you put the glass panel without bending the pcie power cable?

You have to bend but not sharp angle, and it is safe, pins full contact.

Also ordered longer 16AWG extension

Riva Tuner Overclocking Scanner run GPU over 3GHz, on stock values.
Card fans spined up to 65%, and max temp was 63 C.
Power at 100% limited higher overclock (maybe should try 110%) 
At the end recommended GPU offset was 140, and memory 200.
More than happy with this card.
