Looking down the list of the top 100, and after watching a few LN2 Streams , how does a card at 2990 mhz @ 58c  sit between 2 cards <3200 Mhz at -35C , Glitchy runs should get purged imho...

Because people have figured out how to game the system. During Jayz2Cents most recent EVGA Not 4090 video, he mentioned that people were disabling ECC and allowing the memory to bug out and get higher scores.

I am sure there are many other hacks that have been figured out.

ECC is disabled by default. A simple solution to this issue would be for 3dmark to invalidate scores that have ecc off. So basically everyone would need to have it enabled for a valid run.

I have never had ECC off ever on any of my Driver installs in the last few years with DDU or just upgrading

On a fresh install of the gpu drivers for a 4090 the change ecc state setting under the 3d settings menu inside the nvidia control panel is defaulted to unchecked meaning ecc is off.

got ya; I guess that's a 4090 thing , I got a "lucky ticket" for a 4090 SUPRIM at the MSI store ,  they are doing drawings for purchase availability on their website.

Ecc does not default to off on the latest drivers for me. I think it was just launch drivers and tbh I bet it was on purpose since nvidia knew the cards would score higher w it off

ECC defaults to off with 526.98 on my RTX 4090, even when fresh installed after running DDU.

My guess is with more runs and with updates those scores will no longer be valid and we will eventually seen numbers that will be realistic. Or at least enough tests will be ran by 4090 that are not cheating for a higher score to give a realistic estimate of performance.

I DDU'ed when changing from my 3090 to the 4090 and yes; ECC correction defaulted to "off" on the first driver I installed for it (and subsequently stays off when I in-place upgrade the driver).

I think Jay has said the -35 degree parameter was benign in one of his videos. Think that was the dry ice cooling er something LOL
