Does EVGA X299 Dark support quad (4) EVGA 3080 Ti cards

Hi everyone,
 
Have someone tried to install four EVGA 3080 Ti FTW Ultra on this board? I want to know if the gap between PCIe slots are wide enough for these big cards. Or can someone measure the width between these PCIe slots? 
 
Help is much appreciated!!
 
p.s. I'm using external power for these cards.

    No, not by any means. The cooler is 2.75 slots thick, and the slot is 2 slots thick.

    If you watercooled the cards, sure, as the cards would be 1.25 slots thick or so, but air cooled, they won’t fit.

    Your other option is high grade pci riser cables, don’t use cheap cables.

    It's a great idea to use pci riser! most likely I will have to go with this route.
    In this case, I may choose a board with less slots, connect two 3080 Ti on the board, use riser for other two cards..

    That could absolutely work, just make sure the riser cables don’t block the airflow to the lower card, and don’t buy cheap cables from Amazon. Get quality cables so that you don’t run into issues. If you start experienced black screens or weird disconnects, start by moving the riser cables to see if the problem follows the cable.
