Hello.

I have EVGA 280mm CLC. I recently updated to Ryzen 7900x and Asus A670e Proart motherboard.

I'm struggling a bit with how to set up the fans. EVGA manual states that I should plug the pump into the motherboard, leaving the fans connected to CLC. The problem is that ASUS bios then doesn't see the CPU fans so I have no way to adjust the fan curves.

1. Would it be crazy if I plugged the fans into the motherboard, just like the pump?
2. Any other ways to adjust the fan curves? EVGA Flow software doesn't see CLC either.
3. Is CLC's fan control reliable?

Need more information about your second point.  What do you mean by Flow Control doesn't see the CLC?

Is the USB cable plugged in between the CLC and motherboard?

Wow, do I feel stupid. I had this cooler for 4 years, and I just found out it had a USB. Naturally, that's how it would communicate with windows  Thanks for pointing it out.

I plugged the fans and pump into the motherboard as an experiment and it seems like the motherboard does a fine job controlling CLC. Any reason I should be using EVGA Flow and the recommended setup instead (considering that I'll find the USB cable)?

Well, you can control the fans easily enough using the MB.  No issues there.

The pump, however, cannot be controlled via the motherboard.  It's expected to have the CPU fan header to run at Max or 100% so that the unit has power.  The CLC will control the pump via firmware settings, but mostly the coolant temperature.  You can use Flow Control to adjust the fan (provided it's plugged into the pump, and not the MB) and the pump, as well as the RGB.
