I just got the CLX 360mm CPU cooler but I can't get the EVGA CLX software installed on my system. I keep getting "CLX installer check fan mode error !Please reinstall try again !" I have the rad fans chained together and then plugged into the CPU fan port on my motherboard which is the Asus X670E-Plus Wifi, just like the instructions say for the cooler. Anyone have any suggestions I even tried plugging it into the AIO_Pump header and turning off the alert for no CPU fans in the bios

You are likely getting an error because the install manual says the fans should be plugged into the pump, not the CPU header. The pump has a separate plug that goes to the CPU fan. https://www.evga.com/supp...VGA_CLX_Kit_Manual.pdfPage 4 and page 9 both show the 16 pin to 4 pin with a separate fan header going to cpu fan, and then the radiator fans going to the pump. Follow the manual and see if that works. Page 4:  Page 9:  Make sure to follow this guide. The manual does not show the fans plugged into the motherboard, so the software isn't reading the fans, which is most likely what is causing your error.

I figured it out. During the install I plugged the USB plug off the pump/lcd screen into a Corsair fan controller. Plugged that into a USB header on the motherboard and I was able to install it.

I like the aesthetics but not a fan of all the exposed cables to try to hide.....

I'm currently having the same issue and have tried everything. I don't own a corsair fan controller to try. I have messed with the plugs, the bios. Can't download the software. Plugged into the pump fan header, cpu fan header, cpu opt header. on fan into the 4 wires and one to the cpu. I am working with support so far no help and no more responses today. Ready to give up.

  Two of my CLX fans are failing. Are the fans covered by the 5 year warranty? They rattle so loud it is almost unbearable! I have had this since it launched.
