I remember when DFI announced they are no longer making performance enthusiast boards. It felt like the world was ending. I still have my DFI LanParty NF4 SLI socket 939 board that I'll be making a system out of again. I was nearly heartbroken knowing that I wouldn't be able to continue with another performance DFI board. They had such an amazing community, and we had a BIOS guy that was consistently releasing tweaks for the users.

But..everything comes to an end, right? DFI users moved on to other motherboards, and we will move on to different video cards. It's hard breaking free of something many of us have had 10+ years of experience with. All we can do is hope EVGA and the staff the best, and many of us will continue to support them if/when possible.

Instead of an energetic moving forward, it seems more of an I quit.

Difficult to run a business when your supplier undercuts you at the retail level. 

There should have been a plan B for EVGA's signature product. Without one, Nvidia holds all the cards.

EVGA messed up being exclusive to Nvidia. Over the years they knew how Nvidia treated it AiB partners and reviewers. Like Chos_21 said, Nvidia holds all the cards. They won't lose a dime in sales by EVGA exiting the market. ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI will be thrilled to have more chips.
 
I could see EVGA being under 75 employee's by end of the year.

Can you imagine if everyone made a collective effort to not purchase Nvidia GPUs for 1-2 years?

You act like EVGA had a choice. Don't you remember XFX? They began selling Radeons, so NVIDIA refused to sell them 400-series chips until they stopped. XFX was left with the choice of selling only Radeons or only NVIDIA, and they chose Radeons. XFX never made another NVIDIA card after the 200 generation.

We don't know all the facts, we have limited information EVGA released to a 3rd party. I do remember how Nvidia treated XFX.
 
I think it has a lot to do with bad business decisions over the years that lead up to breaking the camel back. Started in 2018 with flood of used bitcoin cards being RMA'ed that lead to removal of GuestRMA page and nitpicking of RMA being sent in. All the layoffs in 2019 and CFO quitting. Covid over the past 2 years and crypto crash. that with Nvidia being Nvidia caused CEO to exit GPU market.
 
 
 
 

Agree with the perspective. We need to allow some time so we can understand what is happening. I have been a very loyal customer having purchased GPUs, motherboards and PSUs. Most of my rigs are core EVGA. We do have a good grasp of the facts. Give a bit of time, we should. If we do not, then we can react accordingly.
