Cyberpunk 2077's first expansion will be current-gen exclusive
CD Projekt Red has just revealed their first expansion pack for Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, a spy-thriller expansion that will be set within a new district of Night City. This expansion will be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Stadia, but not on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Phantom Liberty is a current-gen exclusive, abandoning the hardware limitations of last-generation consoles on favour of delivering a current-gen only experience.

With the last-generation versions of Cyberpunk 2077 being such a let-down for gamers, it makes sense for Cyberpunk 2077's expansion content to cater exclusively to more modern gaming systems. Yes, limiting their DLC to current-gen players will reduce sales, but it will also avoid a lot of the problems that face Cyberpunk 2077's original console version.
In the trailer above, V takes an oath to "faithfully serve the New United States of America", an action that Johnny Silverhand scolds her for later in the trailer. Sadly, little else is known about Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming DLC, aside from the fact that it will become available sometime in 2023.

Glad to see continued support for this game.

I enjoyed it for what it was. It wasn't junk, imo...but certainly not worthy of multiple play throughs
