Hi, I live in Australia and the evga.com.au site says EVGA NU Audio Pro 7.1 (712-P1-AN21-KR) is coming soon. Stores all show either sold out or no stock. One of the stores have told me that the Master Distributor for EVGA is saying that they are no longer looking to bring them in.
 
How do i get one?
Is there an newer version coming soon?
Has it already been discontinued?
 
I understand this isn't the most popular EVGA product but it fits exactly my needs and can not really find a high end 7.1 analog output soundcard/dac for the same specs/price point.

    These have been out of stock FOREVER will EVGA ever make and sell more?

    If not, can they be purchased directly from the 3rd party EVGA had design them?


    Hello, at this time we do not consider these EOL, but we do not have additional incoming products at this time.  Because EVGA manufactures these cards, Audio Note (UK) would not have these available for sale.  We also have future plans for the NU Audio series, but nothing currently on the horizon, however.
     
    If you are interested, I would strongly consider to purchase a B-Stock version of these cards when they are available.

    The factory that makes one of the components for the Audio cards burned down (a while back) and that is why they have been not in stock in years.

    Yes, AKM had a major fire at their chip factory back in October 2020 (took 3 days to put out the fire!), which greatly affected production at the time.  But besides that, there are some other component shortages, including the op-amps, which affect continued production on the cards, as well.

    Cheers, the fire was almost 2 years ago, be nice to know what is planned next in line product wise or when to expect a re-stocking

    Count me amongst those who want to know when we can expect new stock. I was hoping to be able to get one for the new PC I anticipate buying later this year.

    This is the first sound card since the Aureal Vortex 2 to capture my interest, so hopefully I won’t be subjected to mobo audio for very long.

    AKM appears to have started producing chips again - either themselves or via partner fabs. Does this bode well for the next gen of Nu Audio cards? Seriously, I’d very much like to be able to try out one of your Nu Audio Pro cards in the coming year.

    They have stopped playing with nvidia also so maybe just maybe they will have idle r&d people who can make the next gen even better

    LeeM - any word on if or when Nu Audio cards will again be available? I just ordered my new gaming PC and am looking forward to installing a Nu Audio or Nu Audio Pro to get that high-end sound.
