I have only had this unit since June 2022. Who makes this EVGA SuperNOVA G Plus 1300 Watt PSU? I might see if Micro Center would let me exchange it. However, the only options I see on their page is; EVGA SuperNOVA P Plus 1300 Watt, Corsair HX1200 1200 Watt, and overpriced Seasonic USA PRIME PX-1300 1300 Watt. 
 
Would the EVGA G vs P plus pretty much be the same issues, Coil Whine?

    P+ and G+ are both made by FSP, i think? (Possibly the maker for G7 line, that's why I am still waiting for review for G7 1000w, if there is one before my EVGA bucks expires)
    I wouldn't call Seasonic overpriced.
    back when 1300 P+ came out, I paid maybe 350+tax for that.  and had to pay another 50 to return that unit myself due to the coil whine in less than 2 weeks.
    launch any game, coil whine to the max .....
    dont know if there are any difference in the new stock though.
     
    I ended up return to my old EVGA G3 750w (since 2017) to power the same setup (5900x + 3080ti) without coil whine.
    it's sad that super flower is no longer an oem for EVGA's new PSU.

    I don't know if coil whine = a problem with the overal PSU. However, maybe tomorrow I will see if I an get a better price for Corsair HX1000 1000 Watt.

    coil whine happens and does not necessary mean issue with PSU, but it's definitely super annoying.
    it's too bad it was such high pitch and leaked through the case and I simply couldn't stand that.
    you can also check the EVGA G6/P6 line as well, Seasonic is the OEM.

    If possible plug the PC power cable into a socket not on the same circuit and see if there is any difference in the coil whine.

    Awesome thought! I do have it connected to an APC 1500VA UPS PRO 900W. However, it's on the same circuit as the rest of the outlets in my room.
