Hi, looking for some help with setting up my new x570 ftw. I am getting the 27 code, which i believe is related to ram. I am running TridentZ Neo DDR4 3600 CL16 x4 (64gb total). I was wondering if I am using incorrect ram?

What CPU are you using?

edit for some ideas:

Have a different RAM kit available?  Yours should be fine though, RAM compatability is becomming less of an issue

RAM slot 2 was used for single RAM stick test?  Try a second/different single stick of RAM?

Hit the reset BIOS button?

Try BIOS 2?

Reseat all cables & CPU slotted well?  no PSU aftermarket cables/extenders?

Pg 130 of manual has the ability to update BIOS without boot in some cases

Thanks for the replies,
CPU is a 3950x
CPU is seated properly.
I dont have any other ram available unfortunately. I did try it with 1,2 & 4 sticks, tried swapping the sticks around too.
All cables are from the psu (evga 1000T2)

I've had to dismantle it today to move. But ill put it all back together this week and make sure all the connections are seated properly and try the bios update. Ill let you know how it goes!
Thanks again for the helpful replies.

CPU is a 3950x

Per AMD's claims the max supported DDR for 3950x is 3200.  That being said I have a 3950x as well and I got the RAM up to 3733 with a bit of effort.  I have the DARK board and I could tell it was far happier with a 5950x than my 3950x, not sure why, might just be my CPU specifically.

Anywho, if by some chance it still won't boot after reassembly, I'd take a look at clearing the BIOS, trying BIOS #2, borrow slower RAM to update BIOS or if unavailable- updating to the most recent BIOS using the CPU-less technique listed in the manual on that ~130 page.  EVGA has put some effort to memory stability with some of the BIOS releases that may help get your machine jump started.

Maybe some others here will toss in some ideas as well.  Plus calling EVGA support has been quick for me in the past.

Good luck on the move!

Did some digging around for post code 27, definitely memory related.
Can only suggest what has been suggested and maybe just a bit more.
However it has nothing to do with the "speed" of the RAM, because we can't even boot and they are/would be running at their standard(safe) speed and not the XMP that is marketed.
Fairly certain it's a contact and or faulty memory issue (even though you have expressed tests of each module). What i would do is grab some compressed air cans (or if you have an actual compressor with pistol use that) and try dust out the memory slots on the motherboard and wipe the contact pins on the memory modules with a cloth dabbed in some isopropyl alcohol. Or if you would rather skip this just dust the slots and inspect the pins on each module(both sides each) and carefully wipe any dust there may be, and then after this try each module again one by one in Slot 2 and see if it boots (there is absolutely no way all 4 sticks/modules of RAM are faulty, therefore the conclusion will point to the board being faulty). As a last resort, if you are still stuck with 4 modules tested, try Slot 1 , we have seen motherboards with single dead channels or slots before.
