I figure we are looking at September 20th release of the RTX 4090 since EVGA bucks go away September 13th, what do you think?

Personally I would wait for NVIDIA to make an announcement of an upcoming event to the press. When that happens the press will make it known a few weeks ahead that NVIDIA is showing something off. I would figure that it could take a week or two for the Founders edition to launch after that and then historically a couple weeks after that for the other vendors to get cards to market. I should add I have no idea what will happen in the future but I would assume NVIDIA will have an event showing off the card instead of just like someday just making a Facebook post that it's launched and seconds later EVGA has it for sale.

No Idea, when any launch will happen, NDAs and all.  I do not know until a public statement is made by EVGA after NDAs expire, just like everyone else

Yeah, I've been wondering that too. Either EVGA is trying to give everyone one last hurrah and the 40-series is launching by Sept 13 or the launch is no sooner than Sept. 14th and they don't want everyone's accumulated BUCKs going there. Better paying half of them out, clearing old inventory of other things, or getting a tax write-off for charity donations (I'm not advocating against donations to charity btw!) than losing income on the new products. Of course, only EVGA could actually tell us which side of the coin that is.

I realize people are going to speculate because of unofficial launch dates for unannounced products, but June 13th is the date we began the EVGA Bucks program 19 years ago, and we feel 90 days is a fair and sufficient amount of time for people to make decisions about how they would like to use or convert their EVGA Bucks.  No matter what date we pick, there will always be something unofficially launching in the future that makes it look like we're targeting, even when it's not the case.

No idea. I asked too as I definitely thought about it. But Lee made a decent point about them ending it on exactly the date it started supposedly. So any release date would then just be coincidence. Of course, they could announce it on September 1st. If there's a queue, most of us probably wouldn't be able to spend the money by then anyway.
 
So the next gamble would be to try and time a purchase of a step-up worthy card just before the BUCKs go away...assuming the step-up program doesn't get killed off as well.

Step Up only would look at the cash paid for the card after the discounts are taken off of it instead of the original MSRP. So for example if someone bought a 3080Ti for $1199 in EVGA bucks and paid $0 cash they would get $0 credit for stepping up to a 4080Ti or same if they stepped up to a 3090Ti which would be $0 in credit for the step up card and you owing $1999. Buying something with saved up EVGA bucks you don't want in hopes of using it to step up is worse then cashing them out. It would be better to give them to charity then to get nothing for them.

Been in this scene long enough to have learned you don't speculate and you don't read into speculation. You wait till something is officially paper launched with a hardware date. Even then, that could be a false flag. Have seen a launch (was it Fermi?) that had almost no hardware to support the launch.
If you wait for something around the corner, you will always be waiting.

Nothing says “speculation” like a 40 series thread in the 30 series forum. :)

My best guess is that there will be an announcement this fall and then 1.5 months later the 4080 will launch. I wouldn’t expect to see that launch date before November 1.

Right now not much is known until NVIDIA announces the next gen GPUs. 

I hope I'll finally be able to get an xx80 series card this time...

I always just got the xx70 series for the past 3 gens.

Is going be long wait even do I am not buying it still want see and read about everyone's experience with new GPU's
