IIRC you needed the proforma invoice issued by EVGA support. You'll have to reach out to them. If you dig through my posts, there are bound to be links back to others having experiences with UK imports and exports, and I've pretty much only posted in this thread. Sent my 3070 parcel with UPS on the 20th from the UK. Supposed to be "guaranteed Friday 22nd delivery".
Said it cleared customs in Koeln at 9am on Friday morning. Then at 5pm is still said "import scan koeln Germany". Nothing updated today I know evga is shut on weekends. I just hope the package delivers to them on Monday.
I have been reading horror stories of packages being held in Koeln for up to 14 days which would be long after my RMA number expires! 😡 Fingers crossed.
EDIT: my 3070 delivered to them today! And they processed the 3080 and shipped it today also! 6 hours tuen around. Hopefully should arrive with me in the next 2 days, very impressed!
EDIT 2: UPS just asked me to pay £45.95 in government charges and a brokerage fee before they release the parcel. I guess that's normal??
Delivery due on the 28th
What did you put for customs declaration? Im trying to send mine back for the step up

Thank you :) I haven`t tested it without the ABP. So i can`t say what exactly the ABP does on a 3080... After a 20min run FurMark (WQHD-Stress-Test) with OOB-Settings it looks like this:  I can`t install the 450W-BIOS....dunno why. -> No matching GPU detected. :-(

I bought a step up eligible 3070TI from Amazon and I was wanting to step up to a 3080 but there's none to choose from?
Clarification: the 10GB 3080, not the 12GB.
It's still in the list. If you ordered from Amazon directly and not through the marketplace, I'd contact EVGA support and ask them to help out.
I'd expect somebody to be back in the office on Tuesday, after the Easter holidays.
I actually meant to make that post in the North America thread but I guess it still applies here. I emailed them and they responded saying that it's been removed from Step Up due to product shortages and they do not have an estimate on when it will be available again. It sucks too because I only have until like July 4th to get it done.

There probably have been too many people in the US queue still wanting the 10G version. Too bad.
For a very surprising change it looks like the EU one is getting the priority. We'll "soon" be done here and that'll be it then for the 10G version.
The 12G one or a Ti isn't a choice for you? Compared to the 10G those are hefty costs though. Or you live with your 3070 and hope
for the best when the 4080 (16G? 450W?) comes out. It'll be SSDD again though with shortages, waiting times and costs, may actually be
worse this time around because there'll possibly even more shortages around wafers, PCBs, neon and what else there is. 🙄

Wow, they step-up queue from last year will probably be filled before the 4xxx series are there :D. Still have a step-up running on my 3070XC3. I watercooled it because was not expecting the step-up to even reach this far so soon. But will gladly trade it in if the step-up is worth it :).

A quick update, I have paid for the card upgrade (including VAT) then paid import tax because UPS suck. I sent them the invoice from EVGA and they have stated that it is correct and they should have charged VAT.
The EVGA preforms invoice states the value of the card (no mention of VAT) and that it is shipped DAP or delivered at place. This means the importer is responsible for taxes. So they have charged VAT then shipped with documentation that states that taxes are not paid.
So now I have paid VAT twice, and after arguing with UPS with false information for EVGA, EVGA refuse to refund the VAT the have stolen.
It really can’t be that hard to no charge VAT on product sold outside the EU can it?

Assuming you are outside if the EU but still got the card through the EU department.
Well, it can be difficult. In EU it is common to pay tax immediately.
EVGA could have used a method without you paying tax, but this procedure was not in place. However, is is not fair to accuse EVGA of theft. They are not keeping this tax.
UPS is not to blame. You are importing the goods in a country and have to pay tax on it but your country's rules.
They only thing you can do now, is try to get your tax back from Germany (where it is paid) by providing that this card is exported to a non-EU country and should not have paid tax in the first place.
Please be fair to EVGA and the UPS :).

I have been waiting over a month, EVGA didn’t send the paperwork requested (only the proforma invoice not the invoice for the payment) if I had this it should be fairly simple to reclaim.
Perhaps theft is a bit strong but the only answer I get is:
“No Taxes should apply to the defective devices sent in for warranty replacement.
Unfortunately, we do not cover any extra charges that occur during shipping.
We recommend you to contact your Customs office and provide them the Proforma Invoice to prove that parcel ####### contains RMA/ WARRANTY Replacement”
It isn’t a warranty replacement, they billed me for the extra import charges and I have contacted HMRC, they say the proforma invoice is fine but it doesn’t matter what they say on it there is no mention of the import taxes being paid by EVGA so I have to pay them.
However EVGA will not refund the VAT they have charged me that is not due to them or the German government or the EU as the UK is no longer in the EU.
As EVGA are doing business in the UK and many places outside Europe they must know that they shouldn’t be charging VAT on goods for export outside the EC?

Oh the link works again, didn't the other day. There are forms to reclaim overpaid import VAT/customs duty from HRMC. AFAIK others have done so but I don't remember if they said how long it takes. Unfortunately, the step-up process isn't finished yet due to german holiday (ascension of christ) on May 26th and some complications in the payment process.
However, today my RTX2060 should arrive in munich and i hope, i will get the 3080 next week.

But I'm unsure how to pay the calculated difference  Anyone able to calm my nerves? xD Edit: btw, I got the step up mail twice (2nd two hours later) Edit2: It said invoice required in the mails, but I am positive I already uploaded it when I registered the card. Do I have to upload it again now?

IIRC the link to pay for it via PayPal is in your account under my products where the rest of the StepUp process is. It should have an additional button now. I paid via direct debit (ELV) because credit card handling used to be restricted. However during the process my German Amazon VISA suddenly showed up so ... If you've uploaded your invoice before, you should have gotten an email verification back then, then you're good.

I think you got the mail twice because something's going on with the backend systems - my "Queue" step in my product info went back to "Pending". Hope it's a glitch and I wasn't sent back to the queue.
