X17 disconnects all the time (driver failure)

I recently bought a new rig and the X17 mouse was working fine for a few weeks, now it constantly disconnects with the USB disconnect chime and drops out, the cursor will stop moving for a couple seconds then it will resume normal activity until it happens again. This could be a few seconds or a few minutes.

Under Windows settings where the X17 is listed, it shows “Driver Failure” when this happens.

I am using the current Unleash software. I have tried an older version. I’ve tried all the different USB ports. Not sure what to do. It’s extremely frustrating it makes gaming impossible and overall use unbearable.

I’m kind of a noob, any tips you have might need to be explained like you’re talking to a child. LOL. Please help with any suggestions! Thank you!

    try lower the polling  refresh setting in the software for the mouse

    It has been set to 1000Hz. Lowered it, and it didn’t help.

    Did you tried to change USB port? I know it sound dumb but it can be that.

    Yes I did, tried all ports. Z15 keyboard uses the same Unleash program and it has no issues. Starting to think the Mouse is defective.

    Power Management Options could also trigger issues, especially with any new windows updates recently. You could try this and maybe it will work?
     
    A quick fix is to disable power management for your USB ports. Open Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Double-click a USB device and in the properties window, go to the Power Management tab. Uncheck the ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ option. Your mouse should stop disconnecting at random. We should point out that not all USB devices have a power management tab.

    Am experiencing this myself with an X17 that's only a few days old very annoying and frustrating when gaming and in the middle of battles and fights

    That doesn't fix it for me unfortunately. Tried every usb port on my X570 dark board to no avail. I've had nothing but issues with the board as well but Evga aren't interested in fixing anything. My x17 mouse constantly disconnects and reconnects while using the pc. Have gone back to my trusty logitech g502 although not as comfortable to use it doesn't bloody disconnect on me

    I have started facing the same issue with my X17 mouse. The X15 keyboard I am using is fine. Please provide a solution.

    If you haven't I would suggest updating the AMD chipset drivers. There did release an update for input device issues. 
    If possible test the x17 on a different system to see if the issue follows the mouse. If it does on another system (preferably intel base) contact our support team for warranty replacement.

    Latest amd chipset drivers are from 2 months ago on there website. First time to ever encounter a mouse to just randomly disconnect and reconnect like this. It's like something is interrupting the mouse for a couple of seconds but knowing Evga nothing will be done about it or fixed :(

    Running the latest drivers and still getting the occasional disconnect, but worse than this is the awful tracking this mouse has for some reason. If I hold any mouse button down, including the wheel, and move the mouse, it suddenly tracks the movement perfectly. If I release those buttons or the wheel, it suddenly cannot keep up with any movement and seems to only update the position of the mouse cursor about once per second or two. I've tried unplugging and replugging several times, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, and nothing seems to improve this. For such a good looking mouse, the X-17 seems to have a LOT of issues.

    I have the same problem with my new evga X17 mice. I am using the latest drivers (1.0.22.0) and firmware version 1.83 and it´s impossible to play any game.
    I have a Ryzen 5 5600 with a MB Gigabyte B550M Gaming X V2 and have installed Windows 11 Pro. I tried connecting all the USB ports and the problem persist.
    When I open the device manager from Windows the mice is using a microsoft driver version (10.0.22621.1). I don´t know if the problem may be this.
     It´s very frustrating, we need soon a solution for fix this problem.
