    The Marathon/Obstacle project has been announced: Universe@Home
     
    Changes for 2022 
    1. New discipline: Obstacle Run. Three obstacles of one day each have to be crossed on this year's Marathon track. At each obstacle, each team gets a bonus of 100%, 150%, or 200% of the credits it scored on the day in this discipline's stats. The obstacles and the bonus are announced at the beginning of the respective day. The project for the Obstacle Run is announced three days prior to the start.
    2. The days of Javelin Throw can now also be announced at 06:00 UTC, 12:00 UTC, or 18:00 UTC on the third day prior to the start.

    Need a router reset?
    Remove BOINC and reinstall.
    Running win or Linux?
    If windows if you have a spare drive laying around try Linux, Ubuntu ver 20.04 .

    Universe upload servers are almost dead and NumberFields download servers are almost as bad. 

    Mine stopped uploading and downloading hours ago.
    My server has tons of uploads and no tasks are running so this event sucks big time this year.
    BOINC projects just might not have the Computing Power on the Sever Ends to support Events.

    I had some trickle up over night but still have three hundred to go.
    Almost a thousand tasks waiting to get validated .
    No tasks running at the moment .

    Bunkering should not be allowed in any Boinc event. I don't do it because its a hassle in my opinion. I pretty much avoid events that allow it unless its a one of the bigger ones that we as a team do every year. At this point I just do Prime Grid and the yearly Pentathlon and some random stuff that some one posts about on this forum.

    If you want to run nuberfields in Linux you have to install openCL
    sudo apt-get install intel-opencl-icd

    I had issues getting CPU tasks on one of my Servers and the fix was to go into BAM! and set the resource share to 100 on Each Project.
    I had them all set to -1 but that seems to only set it to 1 so settings each to 100 did the trick for some dumb reason.
    So now I have to set each host on each project to 100.
    Most all of my tasks for yesterday uploaded and reported after it ended even though all of them completed before the end time.
    I have 2 2080 1 3090 and 2 1080 running on the GPU. Upper 85° to days so I am watching close what I run now with the Air on.
    So for the most part I am only running the GPU or CPU on each host and not both.

    Really poor event. Its been 6 days since I could upload or download tasks from Universe. I still hold the opinion the whole thing is unfair simply due to bunkering being allowed. A few users drop huge bunkers and locks the project up to the point no one else can upload for days on end is just wrong. I will not participate next year.

    Yes, I agree 100%, I did not get any tasks after midnight till 9AM so I shut down all my rigs.
    I have both my Servers running Numbers but have them set to not get any new tasks.
