The EVGA XR1 Pro comes with a USB-C cable breakout to USB3.0-A and USB2.0-A. I assume this is for additional power. I am wondering if a USB-C to USB-C cable could work when attached to a USBC port on a computer?

I actually am trying this now with a USB-C cable to my USB-C port and I can't capture over 720p? I don't have any more slots for USB-A I can really use. Any ideas?

do both of the usb type a plugs need to be plugged into the computer?  I have just been plugging the 3.0 in.  The limited documentation that came with the capture card doesn't explain why there are two usb type a plugs

If using the splitter cable to USB-A you would want to plug in both.

I had the same issue where my stream in obs looked green and my series x resolution was limited to 720p.  I am using the Samsung G70A so i turned Adaptive Sync and LLR off.  I then set the monitor to 60 hz and at that point it was fine.  I could play in 4k w/HDR and stream in 720p.  I'll continue to play with it some more.

I have tested it with usb - c to usb -c gen 2/thunderbolt 3 works fine, which supports up to 10 gbps. You are fine with usb - c to usb -c cables
